VYC Best Used Tires Best Used Tires Sold me a tire with a nail in it and would not give me a refund Allentown, Pennsylvania

I purchased a Michelin Primacy tire from VYC Best Used Tires on eBay.  I received the tire and it looked to be okay.  I waited for a few weeks before having my mechanic install the tire as I was going to have more work done and purchased the tire in advance of the other work I was going to have done on my 2006 Buick Lucerne.

When my mechanic inspected the tire, he found a nail inside the tire.  The tire required a plug and patch.  As I was outside of their 14 day return policy, I contacted the company to see what they would do.  I asked for a refund of the cost of the repair and $20 for my inconvenience.  The company's guarantee on eBay states:

All tires are guaranteed to be visually and air checked before listed and rechecked visually and with air after payment is processed. Please note: Tires for sale are USED and some had been professionally repaired. We inspect all repairs visually and with air. We guarantee no sidewall repairs and no plugs.

Obviously, my tire did not fit the company's guarantee as it needed to be plugged.  VYC won't stand behind the tire, which was substandard under the company's own guarantee.  The customer service manager, Julio Lopez, was very unhelpful and didn't seem to care that I had a problem with my tire.  I fell that I was ripped off and will never purchase from this company again and state to all: buyer be ware!
