We rented an apartment in Paris via internet and we were told to send a deposit to Vystar Credit Union, Palm Coast Branch to a Jennifer Rebecca Allen routing no. 263079276 and account no. 7502678403 which we did on March 19, 2013 for $1005.00
Four days later we received an email from Jennifer Williams, saying her husband had cancer and she needed the remaining money since the doctor would not treat him . We immediately contacted Palm Coast Police and our bank and they said we needed to contact Vystar immedaitlely to have them possibly put an hold on funds and investigate. They refused, even though we found out there were two other scams by this person, listed on Ripoff Report and we notified Vystar of then with the details.
There is no apartment in Paris and she or her representative we believe in fact live on Prosperity Lane in Palm Coast. She continues to advertise for what is an office building in Paris, she uses other names such as Jennifer Rebecca Allen and for the second payment she wants money sent via Western Union to Glendale TX to a Therese Williams.
I responded to her add under another name but for the same dates as the one we had reserved and was told the apartment was available and that we could send US dollars and that she would give us the bank numbers. We had friends go to the so called apartment building in Paris and found this sign Chamber of Commerce for French Arabs. It appers it is an office building becasue she also said there were no keys and that she would give us a colde when we paid the additional money This is a scam and Vystar should do what is morally correct and report their customer.
Vystar's fraud department treated us poorly and Vystar fails to understand that they are the agents that are receiving illegal payments and are in a position to stop this person. I have filed a complaint with NCUA.

Victim Successful against Vystar

I was persistent in making our case against Vystar. I contacted NCUA , Florida State Regulatory Agency, FBI for internet scammers, local TV stations, officers of Vystar as well as some Board members.
Today, we finally received a check back for Vystar ( one month after the incident), for the amount we were scammed by Jennifer Williams, who claimed to have an account with them. The letter and check came from Fraud Dept of Vystar from Ms. Vicki Adams, Chief Risk Officer and check signed by Mr. Terry West , Presdient/CEO Vystar
Advice, beware of Jennifer Williams, and be persistent when you are scammed, don't give up and be sure to document.

Although you raise a point obout our idneituty, I can assure you we had to prove to both Police of Palm Coast and VP of Palm Coast Branch our identity our age birthdate, SS etc and who by the way was a former Wells Fargo banker and he and my husband a former Banking executive spoke. Therefore, I can assure you they knew we were the victims. Our bank closed our accounts and said it was Vystar role to investigate. Keep in mind there is a account number on our check so there is a way to trace it or if what you said is true about stealing identity, one would think Vystar would want to investigate even more quickly.

- They refused because as far as they know you are some random person. I am not saying you do but, what if you have a grudge against this person, and figured this was a perfect way to "get even". Did this site verify what you posted was the truth..nope? What would keep someone from posting a "fake" report..or two..or three..on you and then calling up your bank to say that they got scammed and they should immediate put a hold on their account. The answer is nothing, and what would you do if that happened? You would basically be complaining that they shouldn't have done that.
How come your bank didn't call them directly? While it may not change anything. Having the request come from another bank carries a little more weight. How come the Palm Beach PD didn't call the bank? Again..that is a bit more weight than just having you call.
Next you are taking several "assumptions". First that this is a real person. These scammers live in the background. I would just about guarantee you that none of the names you have are real. If they did happen to open up an account it was with a Stolen Identity. Any phone number you have is to a Throw Away Cell Phone, the e-mail address is some anonymous generic e-mail that anyone can get. Oh and they are not in the US.
There is also one other possibility. The account is actually real, but the person who "owns" the account is being scammed just like you. Another popular thing these scammers do is to have people "work" for them by accepting payments and then sending out Western Union Money Grams. For their "work" of basically laundering money they get to keep a fee of a couple hundred dollars. The problem is that once the scam is discovered..they are on the hook for the money owed because it came out of their account.
