W Talent Management is a fraudulent operation posing as an agency looking to lure in aspiring models, actors, singers, and performers. One of the first things that is so telling about this operation is that all of the individuals listed on their contact page on their website, wtalentmgmt.com, do not offer their full name. For example, Kelli W. is listed as President/CEO. They claim to have three offices in the United States. One in New York City, Miami, and then their main office in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. However, if you do a simple Google search you will find that W Talent Management appears to be operating out of a house in a rather deserted area in Conshohocken. Not only that, but they do not even have an office in New York City. I was lured in to have a "meeting" with them after I responded to their ad on Craigslist. I was told to meet them at 25 Broadway (10th Floor), New York, NY 10004. When I arrived I was told to go to the 9th floor, check in, walk down a few hallways, up a flight of stairs, and then I'd find them. Upon arrival I was in a small food court with several tables and chairs. I noticed a sign reading "W Talent Management" and a young girl at a table. I approached her and she handed me a form to fill out. I filled out the form and after a few minutes I met Kelli W. (President/CEO) and one of her partners (I believe all involved in W Talent Management use an alias) in your typical corporate meeting room with glass walls. She presented herself as very friendly and personable. She then went on to explain how I would need to pay them over two-thousand dollars so I can "develop" and "invest" in my portfolio (I have this info in a neat folder given to me by them). Warning : any agency or employer who tells you to pay them so you can work for them is a scam. I am reporting W Talent Management because there are so many young individuals who feel they're talented in some way and want to be recognized for it and operations such as this preys on the uninformed and the vulnerable.

It is a scam

Obviously, you know nothing about the industry. There is no such thing as a "scouting agency.” They do not exist. And NO legitimate agency requires you as use their photographer or coach as part of the contract for "representation.”

That is an automatic scam. Full stop. Yes, you age. To pay for materials and training. And they can SUGGEST people they have worked with, or offer classes. But it is YOUR choice.

I could name 20 photographers who will do excellent photography for half or less what they wanted to charge, and real, actual coaches/schools in NY for much less. To do what they did is at best unethical.

Response to, "It seems to your feelings were hurt."

POSTED: Monday, September 10, 2018

Personal feelings are irrelevant to the matter.

What is relevant to the matter is that W Talent Management is a scam operation.

As seen on this page, attempts made by W Talent Management to promote themsevles as a reputable agency have failed.

At best, their attempts to highlight their operation have been laughable, offering explanations that often lead into directions completely irrelevant to the main issue.

It is sad and unfortunate that scam operations such as W Talent Management continue to prey and victimize people for money. W will take money from anyone.

There are so many red flags on their website, wtalentmgmt.com. For example, the photograph of their supposed office in New York City under, "Location," is not actually their office. As mentioned in my original post, when I met the scammers they were operating out of a small meeting room outside of a cafeteria. Under "Contact," no names with accompanying contacts are featured except for a New York address, an email, and a phone number. Any other reputable agency will have clear and consice contact information on their websites, but not W Talent Management, because, as noted before, W is a scam operation.

This will be short - hopefully everyone will do their own due diligence in this matter and not be affected by the sourness on one individual.

Dear Jolene,

Thank you for taking the time to write a rebuttal.

Although your remarks regarding the acting and modeling industry ring true, you failed to provide any substanial claims as to why W Talent Management is a reputable agency rather than what it actually is, which is a scamming operation.

Kelli Walters, the CEO of W Talent Scam Managament, has been conning and scamming people for years. In the early 2000s, a judge ordered Walters to pay back all of her victims she conned money from. Kelli Walters engages in bad, dangerous, and disgraceful behavior.

I would advise any aspiring actor and model to stay far away from W Talent Management. If you are approached by W Talent Management, do not give them any personal information and or financial payments. Contact an authority if W tries to con money from you.

It's not a scam it's the industry - it's just the way it is!

In my younger days I modeled, did a couple of B rated movies, commercials and even so business training videos. I did not walk into an agency and have a rose petal walkway in celebration of my arrival... no far from it. I had to pay for my own starter portfolio, as I worked I would slowly replace the photos with my actual work. A couple years later I paid for my own acting classes and eventually went to a Theatre School which believe it or not, I also paid for myself.

W Talent Management is a scouting agency looking for talent - they assess what they see from the moment you walk into the open call - personality, attitudes, facial expressions, how you walk and very importantly how you photograph - the photo of yourself that you bring to the open call should be your best photo - I believe very little makeup, it's really comes down to if you're photogenic.

So please be careful not to bash a company for doing their job and scouting new talent - Not everyone is chosen and of those chosen there is never any guarantee that you will work, never. There is so much rejection in this industry that if you do not have thick skin or can be resilient than maybe you should take a moment to reevaluate your desire to become a model/actor... If you have the thick skin and you are given an opportunity to try because someone sees potential - then I wish you the best of luck!

Original Poster is Correct

W Talent Management is definitely a scam. Walking into the building, you are eventually directed to a big room with a screen and a runway. Lots of flashing lights, loud music, real models and real products on the screen (which have no connection to them, as far as I could tell). They were late starting and spent a huge amount of time on their sales pitch. I had had my suspicions, but thought I would hear what they had to say. After their way overhyped sales pitch, they had everyone walk the runway, whether you were there to model or not. Then, taken back to do a monologue. Next day, I am congratulated on my acceptance and emailed a contract. A contract which specifies payment for acting coaching (with a man I am familiar with, and not impressed by. I would NEVER pay for coaching from him. And certainly not the amount they named. I have paid less for coaching/classes from actual coaches in NY). They should NEVER require you to be coached or "take lessons” from a particular person. Red flag. Then they included headshots from their photographer, and other costs, which added up to $2000. MAJOR red flag. Mind you, this was not information that was shared at the meeting— only in the contract. I declined.

DO NOT BE SCAMMED. ANY agent or manager who asks for money up front is violating standards. And they are ONLY out to take your money. Yes, legit agencies may ask you to get new headshots, and may have a list you can choose from (or NOT. They CANNOT and SHOULD NOT require you to use a specific one). They make money when YOU make money. Not from classes you "have” to take as part of the contract. Not from headshots from a particular photographer. Not from hundreds of dollars to get casting notices sent to you or to be on their website. Stay far, far away from anyone who wants money upfront to represent you. Find reputable coaches or classes, learn the craft, do research and find well-respected coaches and photographers. Find out how much these things SHOULD cost before you pay a penny. Much better use of your "career investment.” And do NOT respond to Craigslist ads for these things. Legit agencies do NOT advertise on Craigslist. That is not where I saw them, and had I known they advertised on there, I would not have even wasted my time.

In Response to, The REAL Story

AUTHOR: Always Anonymous - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 22, 2018

The REAL Story, could not be further from the truth.

Although the author did their best at refuting my claims of W Talent Management's fraudulent and pathetic activties, their defense is unsubstantive and laughable.

Again, I will emphasize my original point. Any agency, or employer for that matter, who acquires money from the individual they hire, is engaging in very questionable behavior that is most likely a fraud and a scam, such as the one in question (W Talent Management).

As a quick side note, I think the author is unaware of the complex differences between performers, and doctors. Also, it must be pointed out how similar W Talent Management's logo is to the World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) logo.

The author is correct in that I did not step into their office because, at the time of our meeting last year, W Talent Management did not even have a proper office. The scam was operating out of a meeting room in an office building. W Talent Management will deny this, like any pathetic fraud and scam would.

Last year, W Talent Management was operating out of the address in Pennsylvania I listed in my original post, the fraudulent operation has since moved to the location the author mentioned in their rebuttal. Interestingly, W Talent Management has since removed the names of the people on their website who are in charge of the scam. Any reputable agency has clear and concise contact information listed on their website. But not W Talent Management, because it is a fraud and a scam. Hence why they are afraid to list their names on their bogus website.

As soon as I found out that W Talent Management was a scam, I contacted the building they operate out of in New York City to inform them. I also contacted the building they operate out of in Miami as well.

I will note, and this is very important, that the CEO of W (Fraudulent) Talent Management, is a scam artist who, I believe goes by the name of Kelli Walters (I have included a photograph of her in this report taken from Google Images). Kelli Walters used to go by the name of Kelli Harman. In 2005, Harman/Walters was ordered by a state attorny general to pay back the victims she scammed. See below -

"The state Attorney General's office is seeking more than $5,000 in sanctions against Kelli Harman, owner of State College modeling agency Excel Model Management, as well as a court order prohibiting Harman from operating a modeling agency in Pennsylvania." Here is the link - http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/modeling/kelliharman.html

Unfortunately, scam artisit Kelli is still operating a fraudulent agency in the state of Pennsylvania, just under different names.

If one does a quick Google search of, "Kelli Walters scam," several links will appear outlining other victims Walters has exploited, harmed, and scammed. Websites such as, complaintsboard.com and bbb.org (Better Business Bureau) are filled with Kelli's bad and fraudulent behavior.

Stay away from W Talent Management. W Talent Management is dangerous, fraudulent, and harmful. If you are a victim of W Talent Management, speak up and contact an authority immediately.

The REAL Story

AUTHOR: Anon - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, April 19, 2018

So many people aspire to be part of the acting and modeling industries, but so few are willing to invest in it. To become a professional model or actor, you have to invest MONEY into your training and materials. Aspiring models need runway training, a modeling portfolio with professional photos, composite cards, a website, etc. Aspiring actors need acting training, a professional photoshoot with lifestyle images and quality acting headshots, a website, etc. These materials and development services are not free EVER, and oftentimes, when people find out that they have to invest money into this training, they turn around and accuse an agency of being a fraudulent operation.

It is the same idea as attending college. You don't "sign up" to be a doctor and start working as a doctor. You have to pay for college where you will learn medicine, train, intern, etc. to become a doctor.

We understand that the public loves to focus on negativity, whether it's true or not. The person who wrote this never even stepped foot into our office, and they had no experience with us as an agency. The author of that report doesn't even have our address correct. We are at 150 Allendale Road in King of Prussia, PA and certainly not operating out of a house.

The reason we don't use our full names is for safety purposes. We aren't going to advertise a child or young model with their full names.

We are fortunate to have over 700 clients that book our models, actors, and kids daily! We are currently working on the remake of an incredibly famous film, and one of our kids was handpicked by the producer to audition for the lead role! We let our accomplishments speak for our agency, and if there is a bad review about us by someone who has never worked with us, that's something we have to accept!

I hope this clarifies this Ripoff Report article! I understand that no one knows the other side of the story to that person's review, so I hope I helped!
