On Friday August 31, 2012 my company deposited my pay check into my bank account at Waccamaw Bank in Whiteville, NC. I checked the account on Friday and the paycheck was posted as a pending credit. I went to bed thinking all was well.
This morning at approximately 8:45 a.m. I attempted to make on online purchase and my debit card was declined. After several declines I went online and checked my bank account. The paycheck had vanished as a pending credit. I checked the history and the 90 day view of account activity and the deposit had been deleted from all views.
This is not the first time monies have been taken from my account leaving no paper trail or online footprint. Earlier this year I reported Waccamaw Bank of Whiteville NC to the Federal Reserve. The bank regulators were called in and the bank was found to have almost no money.
Subsequently Waccamaw Bank of Whiteville NC was seized. It was "restructured" and all but 2 employees fired. In that case I had attempted to make a quarterly tax payment online. The payment was posted through Official Payments and was posted to my account online as a pending debit.
Within 24 hours the debit vanished as did the money and no record, at the bank's end remained. However, since I used Official Payments there was a record of this transaction. I called Official Payments who verified that the payment was posted but that the bank had rescinded the post and declined payment .
The funds I had on deposit were much more than adequate to cover the amount of the quarterly tax payment. The money was NEVER returned to my account!!
Now once again money has vanished. The thief is much bolder. Instead of taxing a quarterly tax payment my entire paycheck has been taken. Why aren't depositors protected from online theft by bank employees?
Why aren't we compensated for the actual money stolen, overdraft fees and emotional /psychological trauma the thief causes? It is going to be a long 13 days of fasting , literally fasting until I get another paycheck. How are my grandchildren going to eat?

Reappearing Paycheck

I emailed Waccamaw twice and told them it was illegal to delete deposits. Within 3 hours the deleted deposit reappeared on my account.
This incident was the last straw. I opened an account ( with borrowed money) at another bank. This one has an A rating ( not sure how many I think 3 as opposed to Waccamaw's F?) Anyway, at the bank I mentioned the disappearing paycheck being posted on my account one day and vanishing the next and they said that happens when someone's identity is stolen. I then proceeded to state that the deposit had reappeared. They had never heard of that happening. It could not have been identity theft. Someone stealing another's identity and money would in all probability not return the money and would have no means to do so.

Yes I am telling the truth

Yes, I am telling the truth. The accountants for my company are bound by strict laws. The monies they disperse are from Federal and State DHHS funding.
All of the DHHS monies are closely monitored and they are subject to audits. They DO NOT rescind paychecks. I wonder if the person who posted the rebuttal is one of those fired from the Whiteville Waccamaw Bank.
The person making the rebuttal merely calls me a liar there is no substantiating documentation. Here's the proof minus the identifying numbers, it is a copy and paste email I received from Official Payments.

Note: This system will only show payments made via the Internet. Payments made over the telephone will not appear.
The 6/14/2010 payment was deducted from my account after the bank rescinded it from Official Payments but somehow never made it back into my account. Thank goodness I had a lot of deductions that year . Sounds like a desperate reply. If you have no facts start name calling. Circle the wagons and launch more personal attacks and get your cronies to do the same. That's all you got.

So where is the theft??

This doesn't sound like theft. If the bank rescinded the post and declined payment then whoever you work for has your money. You are definitely not telling the whole truth here.
