Heres the incident...I wasa at a travel center in Midland, Texas...A worker (female) ran into me with her stock cart, she says
"you need to get out of my way," my response was I aint movin' for you or anyone else, her reply was "you gonna move or else'" My response was "you can kiss my @#$'."
She goes to the manager, and I'm not sure what she told him but he approached me and asked what the problem was, I informed him to the letter what she said and what I said, he states "if I have a problem I dont need to come here again," of course my reply was fine with me I can fuel else where.
He calls the company and complains. I get wrote up for the incident and the next day I get fired for standing up for myself when I beleive I've done nothing wrong.
If a company writes up an employee isnt that considered your disiplinary action? Should you be fired the next day after already receiving your write up?
No consideration is taken towards employees who stand there ground and although I handled the situation poorly, I feel that a write up was warrented and that should be the end of it. I even offered to return to the travel center and apoligize for the incedent even though I feel I was right.
All I can say is if you want to go with Waggoners trucking as an employer be sure you dont stand up for your rights as a citizen, make sure you take everything lying down.

I have no idea how long you have been driving and I really can't understand what kind of problem you had with the lady, was you standing in her way or parked in her way?
At any rate the trucking industry as a whole is about control, they don't want anyone that will be confrontational, or if you like, sticking up for what is right. Because they know sooner or later they are going to do something to piss you off and they don't won't to face it, right wrong or indifferent. Also by control they keep pay down, but that is another long story.
They would have gladly went along with the truck stop because that is another big picture no one sees. That truck stop couldn't care less if you live or die, it is the trucking companies that pay the bill and there is a lot more to that.
So off to DAC we go, now you have to start applying and hope whatever they put in there isn't to ugly.
I myself have been blacklisted out of the industry by low life trucking companies, so if you want to keep driving you might want to keep quiet. But I would do it all over again, there isn't to many people that have an ounce of integrity in trucking, so now I don't make much money but I have a lot more fun, and there are a lot of them that are sorry that I am where I am, pay back is a beach.
It don't take much to put you out of the industry so watch your step.
Good luck and God Bless.
