A woman contacted me by telephone in 2012 and offered me a $10 Walmart gift card if I would just buy some trivial thing for a few bucks--I cannot remember the exact details--so I gave her my debit card info. The company, Wakanet.com, started taking out monthly fees of $10.99, which I never noticed due to the nature of this particular card until I had to look for a transaction. There I finally noticed the $10.99 and tried to call Wakanet, but I was placed on hold and then cut off. This happened twice. I spoke with my bank's dispute center, and the bank rep told me that Wakanet.com had taken $10.99 each month since December! I never had anything to do with this company and I want my money back!
