I was ripped off by an India group posing as the IRS trying to collect tax on an installment agreement. The routine was very sophisticated. That had all my tax information. Then had me use the Wall-Mart Blue Money Card to pay them becuase the controls on this card are very poor. Wall-Mart Money Card support is very very bad, it is outsourced to India and often communication is difficult. I tried to report the SCAM to Wall-Mart Money Card .com and they have no fraud dept or any means to protect against fraud. Half the time when you call looking to talk to a representative from Wall-Mart Money Card, it hangs up on you, then the other half the time the support person does not understand the urgency of your issue. It is a completely furstrating experince. DO NOT EVER USE THE WALL-MART MONEY CARD, if you do you are asking for trouble.
ALSO BE AWARE OF THE IRS SCAM that they want you to get them a WALL-MART MONEY CARD.

This has nothing to do with Walmart. It isnt Walmart's responsibility to save idiots from getting scammed by people claiming to be the IRS on the phone. You need to use your brain and not look to shovel responsibility for your foolishness on to Walmart.
You got scammed and have a right to be upset. You do NOT have the right to expect Walmart to fix your gullibility issues. Do you really think that Walmart should reimburse you for the money you handed to a scammer? How was Walmart supposed to know what you were doing with the gift card? Give me a break.

First off, as most everyone knows, its "Wal-Mart" and not "Wall-Mart". Anyone also can go to the website for their money card and see the exact policy which states: "...if you have given your card information to a merchant for a transaction, you have given authority to that merchant to debit the card for that transaction".
All this is nothing more than a flimsey SMOKESCREEN on YOUR part because it was YOU who fell for this scam! Anybody with half a brain knows the IRS never, ever requires something as stupid as buying a pre-paid card to pay a tax debt! They contact you by letter and the letter explains what they think you owe them and they give you options to pay. Never ONCE in their letters do they suggest such a dumb, stupid thing! If you don't get such a letter, you don't owe them anything!
Wal-Mart has NOTHING to do with this. Your wailing here is nothing more than a smokescreen to deflect the real cause of the problem. That real cause is YOU falling for this scam...PLAIN and SIMPLE! Its another case of a sorry individual blaming everyone else for their problems which THEY caused!
Let me save you some effort, Einstein! Don't bother writing back some uneducated, dumb remark like, "You must work for them". I'll tell you right now, I don't!
