I had an 18 point inspection w/oilchange at store #756 in Summerville, Ga.I drove the truck home about 7 miles and didn't drive it again until the next day which was Monday.
On Tuesday morning as my husband was going to work it started running bad. He stopped and checked and it was 2 quarts low on trans. fluid. He added 2 quarts and drove it straight to Walmart that morning. There was less than 40 miles put on truck from the sunday to that Tuesday morning.
Walmart denied all damage and my husband got very rude with the manager of the store and left the truck there and refused to get it until they looked at it.
We were told to get estimate by ASE Certified transmission shop. That was done and the ASE Certified shop said it was very low on T. fluid.
Walmart and Claims Management and Mike Carl denied this claim and Mr. Mike Carl actually laughed because it was denied. Very Rude Man
So today May 10,2004 I paid AAA transmission $685.00 for a repair bill I wasn't responsible for. If they had really done their job the fluid would have been checked. The truck also had a taillight out that we knew about before going and they also said it worked, it didn't and still doesn't. We also had to buy another truck for my husband to drive to work. Walmarts cheap oil change cost me about 10,500 dollars.

In my humble opinion, anyone who places any value at all on their vehicle would not be seeking periodic services from Walmart.
.
I would liken that to seeking a vasectomy from the gardner who trims your hedge and bushes.

Sounds like Walmart did an oil change and nothing else. Didn't do the 18 point inspection, but how does that make them responsible for your trans. You posted that the truck was driven only 40 miles after the oil change and a few more, I think it takes more than that to damage a trans, it was already 2 qts down. You also posted about a taillight that you knew about, did you say something to them? I don't see how their $14-18 oil change is responsible for your truck problems. Did it make you have to buy a second truck also? Don't see it.
