On 8-8-12, I went online at www.Walmart.com to order a Dell Refubished D60 with Intel Core Duo. I first read all about the laptop and it had all the features I was looking for. The full description is on the internet. It was a Windows 7 with Wifi accessability,DVD, Microphone. Everything I was looking for. The description stated it was a Dell Refurbished Gray 14" D620 Laptop PC with Intel Core Dup Processor and Windows 7 Home Premium. It included all the new parts and what they did to make this laptop of top quality. I paid $248.00,$6.00 merchandise fees,$0.97 shipping,$19.22 taxes for a total of $274.19.   It arrived at my home on 8-10-12, via FedEx. I started to charge the laptop and couldn't get the security key to take. So I called Verizon which is my internet carrier and the gentleman walked me through and the securtity key still would't take. I tried entering my security key from my pc with no luck. finally the gentleman asked to go to a page on the laptop and on the bottom right side of the laptop it said" this is not original" So he told me to wait while he looked up some information. He came back and told me that this laptop was a pirated laptop, that the Windows 7 program was stolen. That I was to call Microsoft and make them aware of what was happening. I did. The gentleman at Microsoft took all the information, and tried to make the laptop work. He worked approx. 2 hours with me to no avail. He finally told me to return the laptop and to make walmart aware of what was going on. I did this. Walmart contracts with Joy Systems, 101 Cottontail Ln. Somerset, New Jersey, 08873. This is where my Laptop came from. Phone# is 732-907-1590. They are closed on Sat. and Sun. So I couldn't reach them. I sent a complaint to Walmart Corp.  I had saved and saved money to be able to buy a refurbished laptop from Walmart. I ordered, waited patiently for it to arrive. Then this happened. I don't know how Walmart can contract with a company that steals programs and sells them through Walmart. Walmart must have some type of overseeing to make sure that Joy Systems is refurbishing with top parts and redoing those parts that they claim are done on the Refurbished Laptops. I told Walmart that It was disgraceful, horrible and I should be given a brand new laptop, That I was on Facebook with more than 2,000 friends, family and private friends, and that what was one new laptop to Walmart. I feel I should be compensated this way, since they are contracting with a company that is stealing programs and selling them through Walmart online as top of the line refurbished laptops. What Walmart and Joy Systems is doing is  disgraceful and cheating the public with false advertisements and I feel that I should be compensated with a new laptop. If I do not receive a new laptop with all the features I looked for, I will go on facebook with all my friends and expose Walmart and Joy Systems. Please help me. I know I am a little fish and that Walmart will probably just throw my complaint out the window. But what  they, Walmart and Joy Systems is doing is outright fraud, along with theft and public desception. Thank you for listening to my problem. I called my local Walmart Store in Beaumont, CA. and they said I would not have to pay the shipping back fees, to take it in to the store and my credit card would be reimbursed. But I do not feel that, that should be the end of the problem. The problem of selling stolen windows 7, and selling it to the public is the problem. I am nearly 70 years old, live on a very limited income. and what I had to do to save the money to buy from a supposedly reputable store is unbelieveable. It took me months to save the money.I feel that I should be compensated as I stated above.   Thank you.  All buyers, buying online BEWARE.

I agree that this sucks.

It will be interesting to hear what Joy Systems has to say about this.  I doubt if they want to get in serious trouble with Microsoft or Walmart either one.  Maybe it was a screw up?

I probably wouldn't get too upset until you can contact them.  If they won't resolve the problem THEN I would get a little more aggressive.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a new laptop but it's sure worth a try.

It sure is disappointing though.
