Do not ever buy a Walmart Visa Gift Card. If you ever lose your card or it is stolen and you did not keep the card number, you are screwed.
Customer Support for this card is disgusting. You can never get in touch with a live person. My card was stolen yesterday evening. I have spent a great deal of time on the phone trying to report it stolen. It has been very unproductive. Even though I registered my card online with my name, address, and email address when I purchased it, they insist on me providing with the account number.
I believe this is a tactic by them to steal money from innocent customers. How often do people forget to write down the account number of a gift card? I bet it is very often and they are counting on that.
Does anyone have a similar frustrating experience with Walmart / GE Money Visa Gift Cards?

There are thousands of complaints about GE Money on ALL OF THE COMPLAINT BOARDS.
To complain to the Government about GE Money - file them with the Federal Trade Commission and Office of Thrift Supervision.
I know their credit card services is a complete joke as everything they do is designed to rip off their customers and give them the ROYAL RUN AROUND and not fix anything.
Never had one of their gift cards.
