Wal-Mart oil changed service ruined my motor . They over filled my engine with oil , causing leaks to the rear main oil seal ( about 1500.00 in labor to replace part). Refused to repair , denied claim that they did so, caused 3 other leaks , mechanics threw well cover steal grates into my transmission and read differential. They also left the air filter cover off unscrewed, causing damages to my fuel injection system !
Their answer to this was .. "we will look at the video" . I said "good". Next day the main headquarters called said that i had to pay for it and then maybe they would reimburse me ??? then they said "well we will just denied this claim cause we did nothing wrong" . While going to get gas my check engine light cam on I checked oil ,They over filled my crank case by 3/4 of an inch past the full line!! they did not document any leaks ( because there were none). They never resecured my air filter cover and the rain here was heavy sucked in all kinds of water and the check engine light has been on ever since ...
I have worked on combustion engines for over 30 years . The only reason I let them do this work was it's convince to complete while i did my shopping & recycling the oil.
If I was a rich man this would definitely not be the outcome . i would sue them for all I could and should receive!!
If any lawyers would take this case on consent .. I will gladly pay back after settlement in my favor.
Thank you rip-off-report for having this online and for all the help you may offer me, and to the others that have been ripped off !!

What year make and model are we talking about here? Overfilling your engine oil will do more damage to your engine internally, but I doubt it cause your rear main to leak, seeing as the internal of the engine is consistently slathered in oil while it's running. While there may be a minute possibility, it's more likely you will nuke your bearings from the force of the crank slamming into the viscous oil at an average of 2500 times a minute. Have you had this car diagnosed, or at least checked the MIL codes, or are we just kinda guessing here? The story is shaky at best.
Moral of the story: Learn how to check your oil and always check it BEFORE you drive away after the shop oil change. The oil is the most important part of your engine, it can make it last or kill it in seconds. Check it, and if there is an issue, take it up with management before you leave!
