My niece placed an order with Walmart online. she order the Nest hello doorbell for $158.00. Had the item sent to my house. When the box came and i open it. it was not a Nest doorbell, but a 5 pound jug of honey..she call Walmart and they did not believe her.

I think someone in shipping at Walmart did a switch and is now going to give it to someone in his/her family. They have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Anybody want to buy a 5 pound jug of honey for $158 let me know.. the reason why it was shipped to me is my niece lives out of state, but her mother lives near me..the doorbell was supposed to be a Christmas present for her mother.

What gets me is Walmart won't even investigate what happened..I guess their policy the customer is always wrong and Walmart is always right.

Really?

Just tell your niece to go to her account on Walmart and start a return. Never had a problem with returning anything I bought online and NO I do not work for them.

Does not hurt to try. I would highly doubt that someone in shipping switched items - you would have to have proof of that. Oh ?. How come your niece did not file the report herself? Just wondering.

she did call Walmart.. they siad they could not give her a return label for some reason. and to have me take it to the store.  so i go to the store and they tell me "we can't take it back call 1800 walmart" so i  called while i was in the store. the rep on the phone siad  she would send me a return label,   then a minute later she said she can't do it  becuase it's a 5 pound jug of honey and a liquid and to take it back to the store.

so i go back to the customer service desk and the rep siad to me " i told you we can not take it back"  i siad to her i have your 1-800 rep on the phone . she got mad. the lady on the phone told her to take the jug back. she said i can't. " i will call the manager.  so the manager did talk to the rep on the phone and was told to take it back. and they finally did...

this is not how you run customer sevice .. i got a store that did not want it  and i had no way of sending it back by mail... and my niece is out $158.   for a jug of honey worth $12  .. you don't put the burden of the problem on the customer.. (customer service 101) Walmart made the mistake so they have to fix it.. it's walmart problem not mine...
