walmatbiz.com optimusevls.biz walmatbiz.com new scam under new name internet

Hello,

I wanted to add another scam report on this so-called company that provides a job for secret shopping. walmatbiz.com also found to be known at optimusevls.biz. I got a letter in the mail today with 2 stamps and no return address. This was obviouly a hoax, the letter contained a "acceptance" and a fake check for $1,990 it looks valid, but I know it is not.

I checked the site walmatbiz.com just to gain some info for this rip-off report so others can be aware of it, I work in internet security and web hosting / domain registrations so I gathered some info for here.

The domain walmatbiz.com was registered 5 days ago and uses private registration ( meaning it hides the true owner). When I scanned the site for links I found they still had optimusevls.biz for their "more info" pages. The SSL for that domain is the shared SSL generated my just host ( they have no idea this is going on, I will send a report to them as a phishing site)

www.optimusevls.biz uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
  *.justhost.com , justhost.com  

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

I just want more people to be aware of these things out there, as I would hate to see someone down on their luck and already not have much money. Get ripped off from these types of people. Because to the untrained and trusting eye, this looks like a great deal and job oppertunity. I wouls like to share some quick info to watch your selfs on these.

Check the age of the domain and owner with places like network tools here http://network-tools.com it will show you when a domain is registered who its registered to and even will give you some emails to report abuse. any whois search will help you with this. Finding the webhost is one of the best ways to proceed. Many legitimate companies have a 0 tolerance on spam and phishing. So reporting to their security departments can help fight these ( blanks) from trying to rip off people hard earned money.
