I have been harrassed and threatened by Walter Mortgage Co. / Mid-State Homes for past 2 years. People coming to my door, threatning phone calls, and threatning letters. Just got a letter from a lawyer saying I am being foreclosed on and thet I owe for 3 payments 30 days late and this month is due plus late charges, insurance, and a $500 lawyer fee ! I have receipts showing payments made thru last month but they say they are wrong. Mailed last months payment 2 weeks ago but it has not come thru my bank yet.
I have had cross words with their Mr. Chuck Esloon and he has informed me that he Will Have My House. Was an unlivable Jim Walter Home Repo when I bought it 5 yrs ago and I have invested almost $40,000 in repairs and remodeling beond the $30,000 I gave for it. Only owe about $24,000 so they want it back now that it's all fixed up ! They have been out taking pictures and trying to run me out !
I can cross referance my payments, monthly statements showing payments made with principal applied, interest paid, and principal balance against the amortazation chart ,,, it shows that I am 1 month behind, Not 3 months.
Need a lawyer but can't afford to hire one as my only income is Social Security. Anybody had this same problem and know where to turn for help ?
These people should be behind bars. They are using some creative accounting to ROB poor people !

Please call my attorney Mr Hector Gonzalez and he can tell you what to do we are getting cases together and are going to fight this please do not wait until it is too late his office is in alice texas and we are 6 strong and more people called today and also are calling to hire our Attorney tomorrow I know he can help you and once they know you have him they will stop harassing and threatening you

Has it been resolved? I too have had the same problem and got a lawyer. Read my posting titled "Sick & Tired". Send them a certified letter, call a lawyer and get advice. It is free usually for the first time. Go online and view the Fair Debt Collectors act. Send everything via Western Union as it can be tracked this way and can not be disputed! I am printing this off and showing it to my lawyer. I will see if there is something that can be done for you. I will reply in as soon as I hear possibilities for you.
