I, too, was a victim of walmart connect. I had their service for maybe 6 months, then decided to go to road runner(which is execellent). I cancelled with walmart connect back in may of this year. They were very rude and did not listen to a thing I said.

I finally just cut the woman off (who was foreign and I couldn't understand her anyway) and told her I wanted to cancel and that was that. Well I got charged for the next month but was refunded only to be charged again.

When I called in the guy was a freak and said he had no idea why I was refunded and that I would be charged and that was all he could tell me. If they think I am through with them they are crazy. I plan to call every day until they refund my money. So they better get used to me.

Several ways to handle this

AUTHOR: Matthew - (U.S.A.)

Well, there are a few ways you can do this. One is to keep pestering them, but they can always just stop answering your calls and to be honest, if they are cheating you now and have cheated you in the past what makes you think they will stop when you bother them. Im sure they have plenty of people do what you are doing if what I have read on this site happens as much as I think it does, cause remember, not everybody that gets ripped off reports it. Most people just bite the bullet and figure its not worth the effort. Which is what they hope you will do.. Well, Im sure I dont have to tell you not to. Instead here is what I would do.

This will take some time but it will get them off your back. Close your bank account. Get a new one. If you have any bank drafts for auto bill pays and what not be sure to get those transfered over to the new account. Some banks will do it for you I understand and other banks (such as mine) require you to contact the company billing you yourself. At this point the people cheating you will no longer be able to charge your account. (if its a credit card you use then just cancel that card and get a new one. If you have to report it stolen and they shouldnt give you any trouble when canceling) Once Walmart connect isnt able to charge you, trust me they will call you. and then they will explain they cant get payment and 1 of 2 things will happen. Either they will finally cancell you or they will still not listen to you, but either way since they know they are cheating you they wont do anything. They might threaten to turn you over to a collection agency and destroy your credit, but since they know full well you cancelled with them, its all empty threats. Best of luck to you.
