Warwick Animal Hospital, VetCor ripoff veterinary facility, clear case of malpractice at the VERY least Warwick Rhode Island

The second I found out about RipoffReport.com I did not hestitate to warn my fellow Rhode Islanders to keep ANY pets out of Warwick Animal Hospital/VetCor! When I took my dog there for a semi-serious back injury back in November of 1999 I was asked for (and forked over) a $1000.00 deposit. The dog was then sedated and was placed in the Warwick Animal's 24hr. "Intensive Care" section which was available (at an extra charge) because we were told that a qualified vet would be on staff. The ONLY reason they lied about having a QUALIFIED veterinarian on duty at ALL times was because I was planning to take my dog to a BETTER facility in Boston and they figured out that I would pay ANY amount necessary to save the dog!

At 11:00pm on the second day of his stay, my wife and I recieved a call from a very young girl (who, I discovered attended high school, NOT veterinary school) who informed us that my dog died. She said that she had no idea why, but that the "Doctor" would call us in the morning.

I called Warwick Animal Hospital later the next day after waiting for their call and was told that a Dr. Patrick Hallisey was reviewing my dog's file and would call me. When he attempted to tell my wife that my dog died from congestive heart failure and not from choking on his own vomit (a side effect of morphine) and being left on his side with a cone on his head which restricted his movement. Had a qualified staff member been on duty to irrigate his mouth instead of some incompetent teenie bopper making $5.00hr. my dog would have survived his relatively minor injury.

Dr. Patrick Hallisey wasn't told that my wife was an RN and proceeded to tell her several lies, which only infuriated me more (to the point of him calling the police because he feared for his life.)

We loved Brownie more than anything for the 17 years that he was with us and to see him die in such a cruel and needless manner due to malpractice was more than I could handle. There HUNDREDS of similar stories of poor veterinary care that lead to the untimely deaths of pets who were taken to Warwick Animal Hospital/VetCor. (When my wife went to Home Depot in Warwick to buy lime to bury the dog the cashier told her a similar story about Warwick Animal Hospital/VetCor!)

I personally have heard of about 6 or 7 other HORROR stories in the six years that have passed since the neglectful treatment there killed my dog.

Attn: Dr. Patrick Hallisey, you are a LIAR, a THIEF and a p***y...I NEVER forgot what you did to ME personally or to my dog!!!
