We have had this Veterinarian for five years since we moved to the neighborhood. We have two pets and this vet has tried every way to milk us out of $500 a year for both. We don't have that kind of cash anymore and now we were forced to go to him for a check up since we hadn't taken the dogs to see them in two years. We have free rabies shots from the city every two years which ticks this vet off and we buy all our pet meds from online stores like Pet Meds.com or Pet direct which buy from the sam manufacturers as the vet does. The reason the vet wants you to buy from them is because they are being dicks and need the money. Vets buy these products from manufacturers at cost and in large quantities and then resell to their clients at a lower cost for a year's supply however they cannot compete with the six months supply we usually get for less and we just buy 2 six months supplies for each dog which comes to less than what the Vet would charge us - MUCH LESS.

So just in the month of June 2011 this vet clinic decides to ban faxing or sending any of their client prescriptions to these online pet pharmacy's because the vet claims they are changing the meds inside the factory pre-sealed boxes. We know the real reason and it's becos the vet is pissed off we're not buying from them. They tried in vain to sell us a year's supply of heart worm meds for each of our dogs - it was very expensive. So now we had to wait for the vet to send us the scripts and we had to send in the mail certified return receipt these scripts to the online pharms because we are not the vet and they can't by law receive a fax from us. Ridiculous but not the fault of the online companies.

This Vet is the one that just started to do this knowing that people don't have the time or money to shlep around (but we did to save money) and so people who are initially lazy buy from the vet. That is what this vet was counting on us to do too but we refused to do that.

This vet tries and coerces you into buying products from him and some may be cheaper but I always found better stuff online and our dogs have never gotten sick from anything we have bought.

2 years ago our little dog got injured in our yard and we think it was from a child next door to us has a mentally challenged friend over his house and that kid tried to take our dog from out of the yard by sticking her several times in the check with a sharp object and when she staggered into our house bleeding that kid was long gone. $500 dollars later to fix her at this vet who then accuses us of stabbing our own dog? His remark was "are you sure that there was no sharp wires in the yard?" Like we wouldn't know if there was or not? Idiot! I cautioned him then and told him that we take great care of our animals.

This vet sucks and his staff (what's left of them - most have been fired) is overworked and underpaid. Don't go to him.

Post Sounds "Fishy"

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 01, 2011

This post sounds "fishy". People normally come to this site with a legitimate complaint against an individual or company. The last sentence about "the vet sucks and his staff(what's left of them-most have been fired) is overworked and underpaided" sounds like a disgrunted ex-employee with a personal grudge. I tried petmeds one time and found that their price weren't all that great over what I was paying my vet and the meds were very near their expariation date. They sold them in odd combination packs. Kind of like the sam's of the vet market.

Why don't you

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 01, 2011

You tell people they should not to go there, yet you claim to have a history of going there even with all of the problems.  So why don't you practice what you preach and go to a different vet?

Or is this a case of you were one of the staff that was fired and this is your way to get some revenge?
