Chalk up another victim to Watch Reapir USA. It amazes me that after all these years, and despite an avalanche of ripoff reports, no agency of the U.S. government has shut them down! Owner Adam Carpentieri is not only a scam artist, he's a d****ebag to boot -- insulting owners as he steals their money. 

My story is much the same as all the others: failed to do proper due diligence before sending my watch to them, then waited months with no word on its whereabouts. In my case, Carpentieri slipped up and revealed that they don't touch your timepiece... they merely send it along to your factory for "repair". I hadn't even received an estimate and so did not/ could not have authorized any work to be done, so I tracked down the factory in Arkansas and they disclosed to me that WFUSA had sent them the watch months earlier with instructions to "overhaul" it -- no details at all. But the factory rep told me it was still covered by warrantee, so there was NO charge for the little work they did. They sent it back to WRUSA who promptly sat on it. When I insisted to Carpentieri that I wanted it it back he held it for ransom, "Give me $200 and I'll send it back to you." 

So that's your choice: give up your watch for good or pay his blackmail. But don't take my word for it; Yelp is a good place to start when evaluating whether to use these guys. It looks like the only way to put Carpentieri out of "business" is to spread the word on him until people stop sending him their possessions. Ripoff Report is a good place to start.
