Water Expressions - Richard Lasecla Do Not Hire This Man! Newbury Park Thousand Oaks, California

If you are thinking about using Water Expressions / Richard Lasecla as your contractor for landscaping ..... DON'T. Richard is a nice guy and will promise you the world. He is good for design but other than that he is incompentant to manage a project.

We hired Richard to do our landscaping for our back and front yard from the dirt up. The job was suppose to take 4-6 months as he quoted per our initial appointment. Our job took over a year and he did not complete some of the items as he promised.

Richard consistently lied during the project and would blame his sub contractors for the job and items not being completed on time. His sub contractors work was below par and not to quality we were expecting. His softscape contractor " for plants, trees, etc" was the worst. He was very inexperienced and did not know his plants or how to layout them out as per the initial drawing by Richard.

We spent close to 200K for our project and are not happy with the quality of work performed. We have spent thousands of dollars, after the fact, fixing the work we paid Water Expressions to do.

I found out after our project was complete that he has a lot of unhappy customers from his sub contractors. I wish someone who have posted their experience to warn us. So if you are thinking about using Richard Laselca I would think twice. Good luck!
