WAWA DIGITAL CREDIT CARD THEFT. ripoff BROOKLYN New York

On 3/19/06, I placed an on line order with Wawa Digital for 2 Cannon A85s. The price was $140 for each. I recieved a confirmation email on 3/19/06 requesting that I call to confirm the order. This, I thought was a little strange as the only time you get a call back request is if say, LL Bean doesn't have the requested color.

The next day, I tried to call but couldn't get through. A sales rep called me later that evening to confirm my order. He indicated that the camera were reconditioned and would I want new ones instead. I said fine for the increase to $179.00 each. I was asked if I needed memory cards and said no. I had recently purchased 6 memory cards for ninety nine cents each on e-bay. He told me my total was $425.34 with 5-7 day shipping. It is now 4/2/06 and of course I haven't received the cameras.

During the week of the 25th, I received a call from some type of on-line credit card authorization company asking if I had made a $183 charge in the last couple of days. I said no. I asked them if they could give me the card number so I would know which card it was. They said no. I put this on the "to do" list to deal with the next day.

The next day I had two calls on my machine from a different credit card authorization company. I called them to find that someone had tried to use the card again twice. They gave me the card number and I immediately called my cc company to cancell the card. Not only was the charge for the cameras posted on 3/20/06, but they had also used it all over the US and even brought "Personal services" with my card.

I am waiting for the card statement so I can write up the fraud affidavit. I am also going to file a complaint with the Attorney General, Better business Bureau aand the Fedral Trade Commision.

PS It is now 4/2/06 and I still don't have the cameras. It is sad because I live in upstate NY and have relied upon internet shopping for years. Now I am totally paranoid.
