Wawadigital identity theft, dishonest, fraud, ripoff Internet

I ordered a camcorder from Wawadigital back in early May. I recieved a phone call at work asking me if I wanted to add any accessory items to my order. When I told the salesperson no, he explained that the stock battery was lousy and I should purchase another one from them for an additional $150. I told him no again and the next day I recieved an email cancelling my order. When I called to inquire they told me the camcorder was no longer in stock.

They did credit my card back the entire ammount for the camera, however they did start using my credit card for other things. We recently discovered several charges on our visa card dating back to right after the camcorder fiasco for online services we were not using.

I contacted one of the companies and the costumer service rep. was very helpful and although he couldn't give me any real personal information about the account holder, he did give me their email address and told me they were not in my state and that they were back east.

We knew right away what had happened. It was a cheap lesson for us to learn, but I'm sure it's been a more expensive one for so many others.
