Wayland Academy Charged $40,000+ for 3 weeks of school. Beaver Dam, Wisconsin

My daughter attended Wayland the first 3 weeks of the school year in 2011.  They suspected that she was part of a larger group of kids who had some weed but never contacted us to tell us that she was under suspicion.  They searched her room after three weeks and found a pipe.  She was kicked out.  Had they contacted us, we would have come up to have a talk with our daughter and would have avoided the whole problem.  However, because of the contract we signed, they required that we pay the full year's tuition.  They refused to negotioate, even though they could have reduced the amount by the actual cost of her room and board.  We returned her books but never got a refund.  We were charged for expensive art supplies that were never returned.  Our total cost for about 3 weeks of school was about $45,000.  Then they refused to send our daughter's high school a transcript for the 3 weeks work she did.  Even after we paid the whole amount owed.

You do not want to do business with these people.  There are plenty of other boarding schools.  I suggest you look elsewhere.
