On a certain day, everyone was home, doing choirs around the compound, the lawn and all. After a while we stepped in the house for lunch, for about 10 min. On going outside, I find a door flag/notice thing from Wayne's that they were at the property and serviced it....and I'm like, Which property?? We were here we never saw you??
Anyway, a week or so later they sent a bill demanding payment, and so naturally I called them back to inquire further. They claimed that they came and there was nobody home, that they did do termite service around the outside of the property, and that they actually needed to enter in but there was nobody to let them in! Can you believe these fellows? I mean, we were home all day long, and there was nobody to let you in?
Needless to say, I told them that I think they are lying, and that no service was performed, otherwise we could have at least seen the guy (s) through the window, or at least heard their knock on the door. So unless they do send the "guys" back and actually do the "service" inside and out while someone is home. Then I would pay the fee they were demanding.
So the lady, (her name is Cindy) agreed in theory and promised to get in touch to set up appointment. Weeks later, nothing. They sent more bills and have been sending bills over and over, but every time I call Cindy, there is no answer. I leave messages but no response nor action.
So anyway today I called them and left Cindy a message telling her to either call me back with an appointment date when they will come and do the service, or quit sending me bills and threats of collection. I also explained to her that I would proceed to move my contract to another pest control company that actually does the job they get paid to do (after going through my closing paperwork I found that I actually paid a lot to maintain the contract with Waynes).
The punchline of the whole thing is that, while they are adamant that they do their work, just a few weeks ago I was washing the exterior of the house and noticed a lot of dirt in the crevices and saw what appeared to be termites, I didn't think much of it them, but I believe there must be something I can do to get some compensation for the fraud Waynes has done against the contract we are in with them. They haven't come to this property since I moved in, save this time when they claim they came to "check" if the termites had eaten up the house, which they (Wayne's) apparently didn't bother to do.
Unless I hear something from them tomorrow, I will cancel my contract and look into getting some legal help for the termites, which are probably having a field day devouring my abode. To All Alabama Residents, 6 Words: Stay Away From Waynes Pest Control! They don't control anything, but their cash flow.
