Boy, have I learned my lesson. I should have checked with ripoffreport.com BEFORE I ever did business with this company. I ordered "watch tv on your pc". I loaded it and joyfully looked forward to seeing tv on my pc. The advertising promises instant access to over 2000 channels. They go so far as to tell you "Throw Away Your Satellite and Cable Subscriptions". What BUNK!!

The first thing I notice was that most if not all of the stations listed are free to access channels such as religion based broadcasts. MANY religious based listings. Then, there was less than 300 channels listed, many of them repeats. It did not take me about 30 minutes to realize I had been stuck!

I immediately closed down the program and wrote a letter of complaint to myhelphub.com. The first response was in the spirit of how they wanted to help me. I must have a problem with my software, etc.. They went on to attempt to get further information out of me about my operating system, etc. When I informed them such information was not necessary as the product was just not as advertised, they went into the "we don't issue refunds" mode.

I went further to allow them to give me step by step instructions on how I could instantly access over 2000 channels with such quality as to "throw away my satellite and cable subscription". They failed to provide such information. Why? Because they can't do it. Their site is absolutely full of false and misleading claims.

I continued to persue legal protocol to advise them that I was not satisfied. I told them that I was trying to settle the dispute without the involvement of my credit card company. Instead of rendering my refund, or providing me with a way that would prove their claims, they THREATENED me! I was told that if I pursued a charge back process through my bank that I would be put on a blacklist which would hurt my ability to purchase products and effect my credit. They went on to inform me that they had the screen shots where I had agreed there would be no refund and would supply the same to my bank if I filed a claim for reversal. BE AWARE - you cannot sign away your rights to refund of any purchase that is not as advertised. False and misleading advertising cannot be swept under the rug because of any stated or unstated refund policy. The only exception I can imagine is if the declaration for no refund states, we cannot perform as advertised, the software doe not really work, we're just kidding."

It appears apparent that these group of opportunists are charging low fees for non-working or poor performing software knowing that most people will not complain for small charges. Mine was for $14.95. It is the principle to me.

Knowing a little more about the process than most of the public, I gave them legal notification that I was trying to settle a dispute without the involvement of my credit card company. I tried repeatedly to either get them to perform as advertised or return my money. They simple failed to do either. I have now turned the issue over to my credit card company. Because of the detail information I have provided to them, and the record of ripoffreport.com reporting some 40+ complaints I WILL get my money back.

Tell everyone you know about this bunch. Let's try to shut them down. As I stated to them, any company who will refuse to honor the request of a paying customer over a $15 purchase, tells you all you need to know about them. If they are legitimate as they have tried to claim in some responses listed here in ripoffreport.com, they would not allow a complaint to rise to this level over $15.

It is companies like this one who give internet commerce a bad name. Anyone and everyone who does business over the internet should seek out and bring such companies to light. They simply damage all of us trying to do business in a fair and practical manner.

Sirs,

I am sorry that you have been unhappy in your experience.

It would seem that our support staff were actually trying to help you get the software working.

They tried to get you to update your station definition lists, for example, which would allow you to enjoy the full range of stations.

In addition, staff gave you links to try out our "classic" program, which supports a different variety of programs.

Either way, I suggest you contact the site again and request the matter is escalated to management.

We support over 600,000 customers -- and sometimes mistakes do happen. In these cases, I invite people to contact either the site manager or myself directly in getting them resolved.

I'm unsure why you included my name in the report, as I am merely one of the directors. We have no history of fraud, and our group have been running for almost 10 years now.

Kind regards,

Karl
