WDP Refrigeration - Akvatek Industries Fraudulant billing shipping practices & poor packing and shipping Miami Florida

The configuration of the unit I received was unsatisfactory and incomplete. Missing the refrigeration unit for the cooler side of the unit. Units were also received damaged. Attempted to cooperate with manufacturer and compromise on configuration if new door was shipped. Also require pricing on damaged panels for freight damage claim.

To date I have not received the missing refrigeration unit, replacement door or quote on damaged panels. I have been told repeatedly that the parts and quote will be sent out. I call Alex at least once a day to remind him of what they owe me and the predicament that I am in. I am unable to get in touch with the owner of the company. To date I have not seen anything.

Since receiving the unit I have opened my Ice Cream shop and have had to store my ice cream in other units and off site because I don't have a working walk-in unit. Their advertising says that they can provide a unit in less than two weeks. I have been waiting 3 months! Prior too this I waited patiently for two months just to receive what I have so far. Then to top that off they had the wrong address on the shipping documents and I had to pay additional shipping fees because the freight company couldn't find or contact me!

Received a call from the Miami Dade police department stating that they had contacted Mr. Alex Victoro about my problem. He told the officer that the I would have the unit by the following Tuesday. As of 11/3/03 I still have not received the refrigeration unit.

Received the letter from the Miami-Dade County, Florida Consumer Protection Division regarding my complaint # 625161-Akvatek Industries. It contained a letter from the department stating that they had received a written response from the company and that this would allow them to close out this complaint. The letter from the company states that everything was shipped and that it was my responsibility to find out from the freight company where my units are. The only problem is that I have never been given that information to follow up. This is what I have been asking for since the beginning of all this.

It is now 6 months since I ordered my walkin refrigerator/freezer and I still do not have a working unit. I paid $7,400 for this unit and all I have is a pile of junk at this time.
