WebbScribe ripoff Orlando Internet

This Internet medical transcription company was recommended to me by a reputable transcriptionist who works at a local clinic.

Kay Webb, who owns the Internet company, WebbScribe, contacted me via email to ask me if I was interested in doing transcription for her.

I worked for Ms. Webb for three weeks without being informed of my rate of pay, if I was indeed an employee of theirs or on a trial basis, or if I was to receive training.

I was thrown immediately into time-sensitive transcription, and pressured and humiliated.

I was never asked for my personal information such as SSN, address, phone number, references, etc. I later furnished them to Kay Webb without being asked, but never received acknowledgement that they were received.

I was thrown into the work with hardly an explanation of what was needed from me. I had very recently received my Transcription Certificate, but had never had employment in that area. This was known to Kay Webb at the time she contacted me to perform transcription for her company.

It was on April 17, 2005, that I was released from WebbScribe. I have not received any payment or acknowledgement from them about wages, or any communication of any type whatsoever.

I was told I would be paid for my "training." I have contacted Kay Webb one time since April 17, 2005, to request payment, but have received no response from her.

I contacted the labor board shortly thereafter to file a complaint. I have heard nothing yet about this.

I am only asking to receive wages that were promised to me. I was never told what salary or hourly wage I would receive, so I do not know what is due to me.
