I worked for this company, for over 3 years. Most of the stuff they do there is illegal. They try to hide it, but about 80% of the romanian, and russian and south african girls on that site are underaged. They were knowingly accepting fake passports in order to profit from these desperate girls. Contact me for more inside information. This place makes so much $$$ off of children it makes me sick. Seeing the owners of this company act so nonchalant about corupting minors is sickening. They all drive nice cars, and brag about their luxury cars, but at the expense of who and for what? GREED. Someone from the FBI that is interested in stopping sex trafficing and stopping the distrubution of underaged porn. Contact me, i'll give you all the information you'll need to find these people, and their personal contact information. Thank you.

#24 UPDATE EX-employee responds

The real truth

AUTHOR: M.V. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 12, 2006

I worked at WebPower too -- just left after 3+ years because I'm going back to college. The way you say things worked Jeffry - no how no way, not there.

I wasn't there in 2000/1, but until last week, I was one of the employees who check out the age documents every day. There's about 50 others doing the same job. A big fyi - we got training each year from ex- FBI and secret service agents the company's management would bring in each year for training us on age documents. The chathosts even have to re-submit their documentation every few years. We check *all* of those docs against an InterPol database the FBI agents gave to the company to use to check age docs are real and not forged. I kind of thought it was overkill until now.

They have a three foot thick binder on all the people the company doesn't let on the website for questionable age docs. And it's bs what you say about circumventng the rules. Here's the news on that from me and everyone else who works there: when you say that we don't do our job (because that's what you're implying), you're totally dissing me and my friends, you just don't know what you're talking about, period. When it's your job to make sure no kids get on, you take your responsibilities real seriously. If I told my supervisor someone just looked too young (doesn't matter if theyre 25), guess what -- that person didn't get on or stay on nthe website ? there are feet of those files too. We do our job not just how we were taught by the FBI guys but the way it should be done, right, so while you have the right to say the things you did, you really should tell the truth, or at least not talk about things that you aren't or weren't involved with. Your claims were wrong and really upset me. That's all I care to say.

#23 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Some background on Webpower

AUTHOR: Jeffry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 03, 2006

I am an ex-employee of Webpower. I worked there from April, 2000 to November 2001 as a system administrator on the night shift. I was responsible for policing of the site as well as maintaing server systems and providing tech support to chat hosts.

When I first started working at Webpower, the majority of the chat hosts were free lance operators working out of their homes for the most part, but a new trend was already beginning, namely what we referred to as the 'studio' operations.

These operations were set up in places like Romainia, Russia, Estonia and Bangkok with mailing addresses in places like Los Angeles and Montreal. I often took tech support calls from people that spoke poor English from these places.

In my experience, Webpower maintained their stringent standards of age documentation, but the process was not difficult for connected operaters in Eastern bloc countries to circumvent since a fake ID was an easy thing to get in such a place. Webpower required documentation on file for all chat hosts but documentation from studio operations in a place like Russia was usually some incomprehensible document in a foreign language. They were simply given pass by verification dept.

I personally found the transistion disturbing but did not see anything that I could call overtly illegal. There was little doubt in my mind that wage slavery was taking place in these foreign countries, but I cannot say what extent of Webpowers legal exposure would be.

In 2001, I was fired without cause and sought to take legal action against Webpower but was advised that I did not have a case due to Florida's right to work laws which favor the employer.

Everything I wrote as 'Jayne' was untrue

AUTHOR: Jayne - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 21, 2005

Hello Ed,

I've sent this message as an email to you 5 times but I haven't received any response from you.

My name is Erin, and I made the Jayne posts on your website about iFriends/WebPower, and, most importantly, about Al Hadhazy, their owner. When I made the posts and comments I was emotional about a show that I had recently watched, I misinterpreted some things that went on while I worked there.

The thing is, the posts I made were completely false. This company does a lot to prevent underaged girls from getting onto the website. I know I made a lot of statements about their procedures, but in reality I was unaware of what was going on at the company outside the department I worked in. (I didn't work at the company for over three years like I wrote, and I didn't work in the department that verifies the ages of girls appearing on that website.) So the claims were incorrect.

Could you please, to set the record straight, update the ripoffreport thread to remove the false statements I made as "Jayne" referring to iFriends/WebPower and to Al Hadhazy? I really do not want any further harm to come to the company and its owner or their reputations. I never met Al Hadhazy and, in taking responsiblity now for what I did, I need your help to stop the personal dangers to him that my post caused.

Sorry for the trouble any of this may have caused you.

This claim is an outright LIE

AUTHOR: H - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 09, 2005

The claim that this obviously disgruntled ex-employee makes here is an outright lie. This is, of course, if he/she ever even worked for Webpower because no-one in the office has ever heard of anyone named "Jayne".

I know what really happens at Webpower - I work there and have worked there for several years. Moreover, I usually work directly with Mr. Hadhazy and can personally attest to his being nothing but professional. The online Adult business is to him simply that: A business and nothing more.

We not only have a rigorous sign-up process for the online hosts which have to prove, among many other things, that they are over 18 years of age but law enforcement even has free access to our records any time they wish. Each record matches the embedded serial number in each and every image or movie that is uploaded by individual hosts to the website.

Mr. Hadhazy and his business reward good employees who do their job with promotions and praise. On the other hand, employees who don't do their jobs are let go. Some of these people become enraged and begin making up lies. Amazing; just like any other business!

I can only hope that the reason this thread has not been updated within the last 4 months is that this liar was served with a lawsuit. Our legal department does not discuss cases with employees but I can assure you that irresponsible morons like these are dealt with swiftly.

Anyone reading this with an IQ over 100 can make the deduction that this "Jayne" is lying:

1. Why work for such a horrible place for 3 years if these claims were true?

2. Being in the Adult business is like being "the fat kid" in school - always the target because it is so easy - especially in the current "Holier-than-God" political atmosphere.

3. I know, I work with these people every day; NEVER have any of them ever mentioned anything even remotely like what the filer of this complaint claims she overheard. Bragging about their cars? I only knew which car the owner drove after seeing him drive into the parking lot!

4. Greed? Only if you consider anything other than being a non-profit organization greedy. It's a business like any other - it makes money. No shame in that!

5. Being in a business such as this does anyone really think we'd risk being shut down or worse by knowingly admitting under age people into the online system? C'mon, use the proverbial noodle.

6. If this "Jayne" is an ex-host, she was probably shut down by Webpower because of some violation of the extensive agreement. There are literally thousands of people who will never be able to do business with Webpower again because of a violation and they don't go away happy. Webpower will shut you down on the spot and may even keep any unpaid earnings as a kind of fine.

Just my two cents;

;-)

ridiculous accusations!

AUTHOR: Cassie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 27, 2005

I have been a "host" on Ifriends for several years. I can absolutely attest to their rigorous age verification process. "Jayne" must be a disgruntled employee, who probably got sacked for insubordination and I hope Webpower knows who she is and takes legal measures against her, because her post is what is defined as DEFAMATION. Her completely libelous post has no merit whatsoever! If in fact, someone had submitted a false passport, that would be THEIR crime, not Webpower's! Perfectly legitimate companies fall victim to fraud- where is "Jayne's" PROOF that Webpower knowingly validated anyone underage?? In fact, with Ifriends methodical and systemic age verification system, as well as their unbending policy of "no tolerance" I find them to be one of the UNLIKIEST adult sites on the net to have anyone underage working for them at all! Just because Ifriends is an adult site with explicit content, it is 100% legal, and it is highly irresponsible for "Jayne" to infer otherwise without a shred of proof. People ALWAYS target the adult industry and it is CRAP! Futhermore, to single out Al Hadhazy by begging the FBI to arrest him is really, really sick. They should be investigating "Jayne" for libel and harrassment!! Until "Jayne" comes out of anonymity AND produces proof for her allegations- she shouldn't have even been allowed to make this post in the first place!!!

Interesting Discussion both sides make some good points.

AUTHOR: Anon - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, June 10, 2005

This is an interesting discussion, i think both sides make some good points.

i have a unique perspective to add. i'm 20yo, and am an ifriends chathost up here in newfoundland, canada, which is about as far away from ifriends as europe is. before i started hosting and i had to prove my age with ifriends, i got a call one day from my college registration office. they wanted me to know that they have an inquiry from someone in ifriends age-verification dept who had contacted my school to verify that i was a student there. that's when i knew that regardless of what you think about ifriends, one thing's for sure -- they go through a lot of trouble to make sure everyone is 18+!!!!

Not The First Time... innocent people's lives are at stake here

AUTHOR: L. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 10, 2005

There are many other issues that Jayne and A. Stien might be well aware of within this company that they haven't even touched on yet... So Jay, really and truly, with all do respect, don't bash what you really don't know... There's always a cloak over everything...

It's not really fun and games there at all... Just from looking at all the goes on there... The features they do offer and all the other stuff that should make a person cringe... All from just sitting down one day and looking at the site very objectively...

I've always had a gut instinct that this company is extremely bad news... I mean look at the site from an ojective stand-point... Would you want your child participating there?!? Really now... The "girl next door", actually becomes something she isn't without knowing it...

Does that sound fair to you?!? And please, you can throw the contract issues and such out the door... The actual chathost contract in and off itself is fraudulent... Especially the part about "assuring the chathost's privacy", and they know it... It only takes one...

Not to mention, but innocent people's lives are at stake here... Jail time and such are not laughing matters... Nor is this something that should be over-looked and brushed aside... I'm no saint, but I couldn't contribute to "that" site knowing what I do know about it...

Actually Jay, what Jayne and A. Stien have been saying, is not the first time I've heard it... I'm not going to get into the who needs to check out this site or who needs to do that, but I do hope and wish Jayne all the very best in her endeavours... iFriends = iFiends!!!

Give me a break OK Ill listen to you

AUTHOR: Jay - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 09, 2005

Seriously. With all due respect AGAIN your full of crap. OK Ill listen to you since you were (supposedly) "on the inside" but thanks to the way their service is set up once you prove to them that your an adult you can pretty much interact with every chathost for free, which I do! :)

I probably overuse the free option but in my years on ifriends Ive seen probably hundreds of chathosts from all over the world and I can tell you not ONCE have I ever suspected that they were anything but adults.

Your right a lot of them arent great with english but my spanish and french suck too but we still try to communicate thats the fun of the site. Look jayne your pissed but it sounds like some job finder site mjight be a better way to spend your time.....maybe you can go work 3 more years somewhere else, be miserable, then make them your enemy too.

WAIT! also if (big doubtful IF) what you say is true do you realize that in your post you admit to knowingly being part of a child porn scheme for three long years??? If what your screaming about is even a little true do you think that just cause you dont work there anymore youll get a legal free pass?? Get out of jail free cards only exist in monopoly!!

If you collected a paycheck from these guys then you were also part of the problem AND you profited from it so youd be as bad as they are (imho). You admited to taking their money and being part of this and wrot it on the web - ever seen the show "America's dumbest criminals"???? Your sounding just a dumb as the burgular that got stuck in the chimeny and then called the cops to get him out. All that though assums that the crap your mouthing off holds water which I personally doubt.

BTW I had a friend like you once and he basically pulled a "finger in the chili" stunt once b/c he got passed over for a promotion. The fallout from that selfish stunt cost my company over 500 million in stock value and lost customers and revenue (post internet-bubble). I lost almost 60 grand on my company stock and then they had to make staff cust before finally the real story came to the surface.

The companys 12 MILLION defamation judgement against that pathetic piece of sh*t EX-friend of mjine didn't help any of us get our money back (he moved to Mexico). Hopeyou left there with no friends cause man, no friends, no job, no doubt a lawsuit's on its way lady, your life sux alot huh?? Again do a search for help wanted sites and give them a try! (be sure to tell your new employers you were fired at ifriends as it seems likely thats what your grudge is about and dont forget to tell them why!!)

As for you A from Stien, Maine (which the post office says doesnt actually exist!), Im sorry if you were bitter and didnt make any friends when you hosted on ifriends before they apparently kicked you off for something you did wrong but there are some chathosts who actually DO make friends with the viewers who come in to see them (Ive made alot of them myself). I'd value your comments more if youd sign a real name and a real city to your posts.

Age Docs

AUTHOR: Jayne - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 08, 2005

Of course they are going to portray a company that is following the rules. They were constantly afraid of being sued. They actually were found guilty of some charges a few years ago, and had to move their office into a new town. From lake worth, to palm beach gardens. I'm just letting you know, that what goes on behind the website, is very different from what they portray on their website.

The people who work in the chathost department, who take in the age docs, are just young adults who don't care. I worked there for so long because they paid well. When I first started, they never told me exactly what kind of business it was, I was under the impression i was doing customer service for an isp. Well after awhile it became clear.

I switched departments, and was really disgusted the more I found out. I'm working with local reporters currently. This will all be out soon. Believe what you want, but this place is horrible, you think those girls you were talking to from overseas were really talkin to you? No, those were their translators, and they'll tell you anything you want to hear.

They are playing you for your time. Anyway. I'm telling the truth, they allow a lot of underaged girls onto this website. I know this, I've reported this to them, only to be ignored.

Now this happens.

It sounds like your so disgruntled that your making stuff up. Ive met a ton of girls on ifriends from all over the world and they are all very must over 18. The few that ive gotten to know really well pretty mujch all tell me what a pain in the a*s it was to prove to ifriends that they were over 18 and even after they host on there they have to keep proving it. But the ones that i know say theyre really happy and say the hassles worth it b/c its the best site to work with. I dont here that from many other cam girls i talk to from other sites.

(know I'm wasting my time on this but lookwhat i just found) go to http://ifriends.18-2257.com/promo/example.jpg and http://ifriends.18-2257.com/ and you'll see how dead-a*s serious they are about proving the age of the people on ifriends.

I found these real easy andy ou can to and youll see that they inbed all the age documents they have for the girls into every pic and movie on the whole site.

We cant see it surfing (probably for privacy right??) but the "18+" logo in the pics and movies are for law enforcement if theyre interested so they can see all of the documents that the girls have provided to prove their age to ifriends.

Its all on those links that I found so im not sure that theyre up to what your saying theyre up to. I mean why would they make this info available to law enforcement if theyre trying to hide something or they know the info is bogus?? And why would they waste their time to prove everyones over 18 if theyre such bad guys?? If they were just in it for the money I dont think they would waste their time getting all these documents on everyone. It sounds like your pissed at them for some reason.

No big deal, we all have people we dont like for whatever reason, but jayne you need to move on. sides its hard to take your report seriously when you worked for them for so long. If you thought they were so bad why did you stay there for so long?? 3 years is a long time.

Lou's dept. "you know these passports are so fake, but what do you do?"

Yeah, they do make you go through a lot of hoops in order to actually become a chathost, you're right. What you don't know is the process for chathosts overseas. Their passports most of the time are fake, and instead of going through the process of denying hundreds of passports they know are fake, they allow them through anyway. They know the passports are fake, my boss even said to me one day. "you know these passports are so fake, but what do you do?"

I work with iFriends, never heard anything like this about iFriends

AUTHOR: Ana - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 07, 2005

I'm a current chathost on the iFriends website. I've worked here for several years, and I've never heard anything like this about iFriends. Before iFriends even let me host on their site, I had to jump through 100 different hoops, fill out tons of paperwork, and then wait for them to make sure everything was correct before I could even host my first session.

My approval took several weeks and they checked everything from my date of birth to my social security number. I had to give them my driver's license, passport, even my social security card to make sure everything was correct. And it's not just because I'm only 27. They made a 63-year-old grandmother jump through all those hoops, too and wait for the results. I remember, cause she complained about it on the iFriends boards and didn't understand why they couldn't just look at her and see she was old enough to host. I've worked on other internet sites and I've never had to go through anything NEAR as strict an age check as the one on iFriends.

The id card process is a real hassle, but every chathost has to do it, and iFriends really does check out everything before you can host. They've got a whole page that explains what we all have to do on their site http://www.ifriends.net/agesessions/pa/agefaq.htm. That's the URL they give us when we have questions as to what we have to do next to get approved to host.

I'm not sure who this "Jayne" is, but I can't imagine that anyone would work for a company for 3 years that's as horrible as she makes iFriends out to be. That certainly hasn't been my experience with them!
