I rented a one bedroom apartment at Capitol Towers, which is located at 1500 7th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 from November 2015 to July 2018.  I place a security deposit of $1,000 in 2015, and was charge another $350 when I extended the lease for another six months while I located housing in San Francisco.  When I moved out earlier this month, I cleaned the apartment and patched nail holes from where I had art hanging. 

I asked the property manager if they wished to see the unit when I handed the key in, and she declined.  I then informed the property manager that the fan in the bathroom no longer worked, that they may wish to check the garbage disposal, which had stopped working several months earlier, and that one of the closet doors was off the track and wouldn't stay on.  I left Unit 639 clean and empty, only to receive a check from Weidner Property Management in the amount of $68.62. 

Therefore, I am writing this report because I have no hope in Weidner Property Management or Capitol Towers Luxury Apartments of ever making this matter right.  They are not an honest firm and I hope that this report will prevent others from being taken by Weidner Property Management and/or Capitol Towers.  In essence, if you are looking for an apartment home in Sacramento, stay away from Capitol Towers.  If you are looking for an apartment on the west coast, please heed my advice and stay away from any apartment complex managed by Weidner Property Management.  I was taken; please don't make the same mistake that I did.
