Don't trust your life in their hands. I attended one of their seminars and was appaled at the level of rudeness and the lack of organization. All they care about is Money!
One prospective patient asked how many LapBand Surgeries he had done and he kept trying to say "we". Finally when I asked him how many he alone had done he finally came clean that he had done less than 20. I asked when he had finished training and he responded last July. Then came the cattle call. I was escorted to am exam room. I was forced to go thru a series of consultations. None of which I had asked about or wanted. I didn't want to be seen by a podiatrist for bunions or a plastic surgeon for breast reduction surgery or by a gynecologist for urinary accidents. I left having thought that I would not hear from them again.
A couple of weeks later, I get a phone call telling me that Insurance does not cover the LapBand Surgery but that if I pay them $18,000,000. cash they can do the surgery for me. What they didn't tell me is that Insurance wouldn't pay them because of their center not being in network because they are not accredited! Later I find out that their the same Doctors that have had their medical license's revoked and placed on Probation.
***1-800-GET-SLIM ***Weight Loss Centers*** TopSurgeons*** are all owned 100% by Dr. Michael Omidi (Medical License on Probation http://www.tmz.com/2008/10/06/90210-doc-disciplined-over-lipo/) and Julian Omidi ( Medical License Revoked) Their surgeries are done in unsafe operating rooms with unsafe physicians. They have no regard for patient safety and worse they are dishonest. They are still trying to get me to pay them when I have been authorized for surgery at Cedars! Don't trust your life in their hands.

I so agree with this report I had surgery in June 2009 with Top Surgions and although I am losing wieght it has been the worst experiance of all times. There staff is rude and uneducated. The day of my surgery I was walked to the back of the facility, you sit in a back hallway lined up like cattle one person comes out another goes in. After my insurance was approved I was scheduled 3 days later for surgery, However when my insurance recieved the bill of $135.000.00 they only payed Top Surgions $7.000.00 Top Surgions facilty refused me treatments for my adjustments due to this. I had to find another Dr. in another city who would do my adjustments. $150.00 every time I am adjusted. I now recieve threating phone calls from staff in the billing department of Top Surgions telling me that they are going to file civil jugdements agianst me and that if I pay them $7000.00 dollars they will write off the the rest of my balance as a loss.But that i am no longer allowed to step foot on any of there facilities. I am being treated as thou I am a crimnal like i did something wrong to them. What kind of Doctor's are these and how are they allowed to treat people this way. I put my trust in them and there facility and just because they couldnt milk my insurance for more then they did i was left out in the cold. Isnt therE a law thAt protects patients like me....
