I saw an ad on tv one night from a company called WELL TABS. This company was claiming that they had a product for people who are feeling down and want to feel more energetic and happy throughout the day. They capitalized on people who are depressed or are going through a hard time, to benefit them and their pockets!
I saw this commercial and they had a free trial offer that I decided I would want to give a try, so I asked for an order for a FREE TRIAL. They required my debit card information in case I would want any more products in the near future, I should have known. So as I went on with the order from an automated system they began to talk me up and sell me more, it seemed they wouldn't really let me have my free trial! Like I said, they capitalized on my being down in the dumps and depressed and continued to do their best to rip me off. So I upped my order to one month for $29.99 USD.
I placed my order for this one month supply of well tabs and was excited at the time to start "feeling better" , little did I know I would not be feeling any better, I would begin to feel worse, MUCH WORSE!
A few days went by after placing my order of Well Tabs when I got the charge from the company on my Bank account, remember it was supposed to be $29.99? Well turns out I had been charged $119.96 USD from this company!
I automatically called the Well Tabs company, thinking this is America and there should be a reasonable explanation about this and I could get it resolved, but I did not. I called this company from their 1800 number that was on my bank account record. After listening to about 5 minutes of an automated system telling me they have my call recorded and a bunch of other garbage I began to get worried quick. After the 5 minutes of lectures from a robot I was placed on hold waiting for my turn to talk to a the next available customer service rep, I waited about 15 to 20 minutes. When I finally reached a human her name was "Ashley" and after my research of this company, Ashley was the one and only customer service rep they had.
So I began to tell this Ashley character my story and asked very politely if my order could be cancelled and I wanted a refund for my charge, granted it had only been 2 days. Ashley told me I was basically out of luck and I had to wait for the product to get in and return it, then wait an additional 7-10 business days before I would recieve my funds again. I was SOL from this company already and very discouraged.
After receiving that information I continued to research other claims people had about this company and it was bad news. I was beginning to find a plethora of bad reviews and other people being ripped off and over charged from the very same company. Other people had also been very familiar with this Ashley person as well and received the same info from her when they called to complain.
After I realized was going to get zero help from this company I called my bank to dispute the charge. Finally a break in the chaos as my bank helped me out with my situation. I received a credit back from my charge when I claimed my dispute and thought I was going to be ok soon. I was very VERY wrong.
About 4 or so days had passed since I made my order with Well Tabs when I began to have random fraudulent charges to my bank account. The first charge came from a company called "web justice" for $48 and some change, then about 4 other charges from a company called "cellular London" for a total of about $80. I had nothing to do with any of these companies and these charges were all used with my card info from strangers.
I googled these companies the second I saw the charge and began to read that these we fraud charges and had been happening to many people. Keep in mind I had made no other online/ over the phone purchases or had given anyone my card information since Well Tabs.
After I saw these charges I called my bank and had to get my card cancelled, and reported all the fraudulent activity.
So here I am now, out of about $200 all because I wanted to enjoy life a little more. Do not fall for these scammers and please research before you purchase. If you had been scammed as well I suggest you bring it to attention so we can bring justice.
