I have had an account with Wells Fargo Bank for 25 plus years and have maintained a good credit rating. I also have(had)a Wells Fargo Credit Card, which I used as overdraft protection on my checking account. I have always paid my card payment on time. I have never been delinquent on this card or any other credit card.

I received a letter dated January 17,2006. This letter reads. Your above account is delinquent. In accordance the Customer Agreement and Disclosure Statement that governs the use of your Wells Fargo Credit card account, all cards issued on this account are canceled and your account has been closed. Please tear up all your cards.

Letter goes on, You remain obligated to pay the outstanding balance on your credit card and finance charges and fees. Pay at least the minimum payment each month or your entire balance is due and payable.

Well, People, this is why I applied for the Mortgage loan with Wells Fargo Financial, so I could pay off my credit card accounts

This really sounds a little fishy to me. Wells Fargo Financial cancels our mortgage loan and a couple of weeks later my Wells Fargo Card is cancelled. What is going on here? First I was approved for a mortgage loan with Wells Fargo Financial and then canceled, then for no reason, my card was canceled.

By the way, I had already paid the payment in question before the letter was dated. That is not the reason it was canceled.

I believe and I may be wrong, but I do not think I am, that Wells Fargo is cutting back on loans and credit card accounts. I am probably not the only one that was canceled. I hope if anyone else has been ripped off in this way recently, you will file a ripoff report.

I am mad and I am not going to take it any more, and neither should any of you that read my report. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Wells Fargo Financial for Discrimination and unfair lending practices. I was discriminated against my income being from retirement and that is illegal. Wells Fargo Credit Card you are next on my list.

Checked your credit lately?

AUTHOR: Cassandra - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 02, 2006

Have you checked your credit report lately? Perhaps you were the victim of fraud or identity theft???

In most states you are now entitled to a free credit report from the three major credit bureaus.

Log on to www.transunion.com, and find on the right half of the screen where you can get a free report.

Have you contacted either of the phone numbers on your cancellation letters? They should be able to give you an explanation of what the heck happened.

Good luck!!
