Wells Fargo Financial Canada Not to Be Trusted Grand Prairie Alberta

I was called by a representative of Wells Fargo Financial Canada to ask if I had any comments on my van loan up to this point. I said then that I was pleased so far. The lady asked me if I was interested in applying for a personal loan to help with Christmas bills. Up to $10,000 was available, so I gave her my information and after about an hour she called me back to say I was pre-approved for $7,500.
I had to drive to Grande Prairie to sign for it. She said it was not possible to fax the pages to me for signatures, even though my fiancee and I have done exactly that for a different loan from a company in Edmonton. So, I made arrangements to drive 3 and a half hours north in a stowstorm to sign. Upon arrival, I found this representative informed me that I could not have any kind of loan because my child support payments were not listed on my credit history.
Could they not have asked me any or all of these questions before I travelled for hours, taking my life literally in my hands, and burning two tanks of gas? How hard could it possibly be for a supposedly professional loans company to ask me if I had other debts not included in my credit report over the phone? Or even fax me the two sheets I filled out and fax them back? If I was going to be misled, I wouldn't hate Wells Fargo nearly as much if I didn't have to rearrange my work schedule and have my friend drive me a total of 654 kilometres (about 300 miles) to find out they lied to me. I made a point of asking this woman if this loan was a sure thing, and she said all I needed was to come to Grande Prairie to sign some papers. That is misleading and totally unprofessional.
I will be approaching every local bank I can find to buy out my existing van loan from Wells Fargo. I don't want these idiots to have another penny from me. They lied to me and had absolutely no sympathy considering how far I travelled in terrible weather.
Don't trust Wells Fargo, people. They outright lie.
