I am trying to retire and take my investments and put them into an Annuity so that I can enjoy the money I have saved. I was able to do this with all my other investments. However, with Wells REIT II it is not possible. They say that I must leave it in for 10 years, this was not explained by my broker and he is no longer a broker. They did say that every year they would look into allowing us to redeem our shares. The last two years the answer was no. Now in 2010 they have said yes we could redeem our shares. However, they only want to give us 60% of our initial investment and nothing on the interest we have gotten for the last 5 years. Thus my account worth $4,500 can be redeemed for only $2,725. THIS IS A RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!
