Wentworth, Inc. - Wentworth Marketing Fraudulent and Dishonest Business Atlanta Georgia

BE WARNED ABOUT JOB OFFERS BY WENTWORTH MARKETING INC.

After applying for a job with Wentworth Marketing in Atlanta, GA, and scheduling an interview, going to the interview, and going on a second interview, (and then offered a job), I am well educated enough to say Wentworth does fraudulent business and I would caution everyone who thinks they are in for a great career opportunity--this seems to be much like so many "marketing" companies that are all over the US.

Wentworth, like Silvalining Marketing Concepts in Marietta, GA (see Rip-Off Report: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/391/RipOff0391165.htm ) and Ocean Promotions, Inc. Rhode Island (see Rip-Off Report: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/390/RipOff0390532.htm ) does its business by hiring "entry level" professionals and getting them to do b2b sales or other "event-based" sales as a third-party representative of any numerous "Fortune 500" company or popular non-profit org.

But these businesses are scam artists at best. Wentworth sells AT&T Business Solutions, aka: internet and phone service for businesses. My "day-long interview" involved traveling to 45 different companies and marketing AT&T upgrades and "new" products. Though there were good marketing and sales tactics used (and I considered my experience with Wentworth educational and beneficial for my career in sales), the overall theory of the company was a hoax.

See the link above for a great-detailed report on Ocean Promotions...the linked report gives much about how Wentworth does it's business (though I had a much better experience than that guy and I think Wentworth is run better and they have a little more honesty than Ocean Promotions). But their 4-Tier "leadership development" and "management development" systems are the same:
Entry Level (2-4 weeks; $300-400 a week)
Leader (4-18 months; $500-800 a week)
Assistant Manager (4-6 months; 40-60k a year)
Manager (1st year 70-90k)

(**ok, so I have to make a comment on this, thought it really has no value--this doesn't make sense to me, "you must be able to start immediately!" --what the hell? So I was offered a position with Wentworth but because I told them I couldn't start for a week they were very hesitant with still wanting me. To be honest, I was everything they wanted, but because I couldn't start right away they didn't want to hire me; why? because their fraudulent business model told them that if the person couldn't work right away, that that person isn't the right person for the job--this is so incredibly ignorant, you have to see the bull in the company...anyways, that's a weak rant, but I wanted to rant.)

These Job postings can be found everywhere and when you do the research and see their spiffy web pages designed with flash but giving no real information -- be very cautious, actually, I would advise you run the other direction, but seriously, don't bother with these frauds.
