West business Services in San Antonio is a haven for crooked business practices, manipulation, intimidation, and retaliation and sexual exploitation of new employees who are down on their luck, and simply lookig for a place to re-establish themselves in the working class of America. I was once a marketing representative for West as well as a staff member. I have seen many projects and clients come and go due to poor resource and utilization management.
I have been approached by several of our clients and asked many questions that should have been answered by upper management. I have been told by many clients and joint client representatives that West lied to them and their upper chain of command in order to get a contract signed, ie. (GE/JCPenney was told that there were enough trainees to meet inbound call volume requirements)
Representaives from GE/JCPenney returned to the site unscheduled and unannounced to discover that there were more training classes being conducted without their approval, and without proper training format which resulted in many consumer credit card accounts being cancelled/closed.
AT&T pulled their contract due to thefact that there was corporate theft at a staggering level. Upper management staff members were using the personell identification numbers to access and log into the systems to give individuals that they met on the street telephone service via backdoor/parkinglot deals whereby these staff members were giving unlimited long distance to people for cash money.
The individuals blamed for this were the innocent "new hire" marketing reps whose PID(personal identification number)was used to acces the sstem and connect the stolen services. Some of these individuals still work for West! One staff member in particular bacame a roomate with their supervisor who knew full well what he had been up to and his criminal record.
Staff members have requested from other staff members that certain employees not be terminated because of the fact that the individual perfomred "wild" sexual favors for them and other members of that particular Branch. This is not an isolated incident. Other staff members sell themselves as prostitutes to make extra cash.
One upper staff member in particular has a particular taste for dark-skined african american women, drinks himself into a drunken stupor usually Thursday nights at a local club downtown called Club Rieve, and has been photographed unknowingly sodomizing a very tall, dark-skinned rather masculine looking(no offense) woman in a parking garage in the back of his explorer. And then proceeded to drive home drunk. The photographer was going to call the police, but wanted to wait to see what he did next.
One upper staff member in particular has the unique ability to lie whenever it suits him regardless of whose life it wrecks. He has been investigated several times for sexual harrassment, relocated becasue of allegations, lost his wife and family due to it and sitll continues his plundering.
He asked a former strip club employee to join his staff so that he could give her a better life. This unsuspecting single mother of two too the advise of the older, much wiser business professional and became his employee. He then asked of sexual involvement of the young lady who feeling obligated obliged.
The interludes became so heated for him that he felt it necessary to allow her to come to work and sit at her desk all shift long painting her nails, while other staff members worked 16-17 hour days so that he could have his free time with her, under the guise that the team was short staffed. He altered her time sheets and KRonos payroll documents to reflect 80 hours per week some times (copies were made).
After the young lady only 23, could not take his advances and the humiliation that she had been subjected to by the other staff members she broke it off with him and turned down his marriage proposal. She was then persued by another staff member for romantic interests. This new suitors efforts were thwarted by the scorned supervisor to the extent of having the Site director write this new suitor a PIN(performance improvement notice) bacically threatening his job and placing him on probation for speaking to the young lady.
The supervisor then moved his attention to another young lady that he recruited, but did not fulfill his promise of power and status as his right hand lady/personal assistant. THis young lady had had a rough life, single parent by 2 different men, lived in the back of a run down apartment building on the south side of San Antonio i a crime infested neighorhood 9her own words).
She decided to get back at the supervisor for making her wait until the previoulsy mentioned young lady was out of the picture, so she began a campaign along with another young lady who was recently terminated to have him removed from his position for displaying favoritsm and falsifying documentation and time clock abuse.
He went to "employee relations" who spoke to the entire departmental staff and threated all their jobs if anyone mentioned another word about his escapades and said "the corporation does not care who anone sleeps with, and are not going to waste any more money trying to find out".
She then slept with a co-worker made it publically known and then the supervisor manipulated information and had that man terminated. He then began a relationship with her which is clearly another conflict of interest ignored.
An unsuspecting eager newly appointed staff member complimented the woman on her looks and she told her supervisor who she refered to as "el heffe", who she confided to another co worker advised her to go out to lunch with the new guy and then file an sexual harrassment complaint against him.
Many people knew of her reputation and lack of discression, so to make her story more credible she had the other coworker go with ehr to act as a witness at employee relations. This man was then removed from the staff position.
You would think that the site director Kathy would have a handle on all of this, but then when you have your children working as staff members/scouts and and your long time confidant with her daughter working there as a staff member/scout what can you do? Not to mention that the site assistant calls in regularly drunk, but she aslo has to deal with Sherri using the company corporate credit card to make personal purchases for herself and household then writing it off as a business expense. Sounds like FRAUD to me!
Now I understand why the veteran marketing representatives describe the WEST name as W-here E-verybody S-leeps T-ogether! Some employess have lost their livelyhood because of this insanity and lies. Homes, cars and children are not replaceable.

WAHHH!!! I got a telemarketing job and didn't want to work so I'll spread gossip about my former co-workers! Duh, of course they wanted you to uipsell, it's a SALES job, that's a legitimate part of working in sales. You say they lost a couple of their accounts? WAHHH!!! Companies gain and lose clients all the time, if only you had offered your "expert opinions" on their business so they would never lose an account! WAH!!! I don't like the consensual relationships I think may have been going on! Get out of sales, stop bitching and walk it off.

I read the report of some former employee of said company and I have to agree their allegations. I am an employee of WEST offshore, somewhere in ASIA and they have same system here as in the US. Here, they have a good reputation and good facilities I should say. I would like to share some informations that I believe it is not fair to the employees. I handle one of their account taking orders and we are mandated to read their long upsell scripts. Most of the callers only ordering for a specific product and it is natural to have some upsell but NOT more than 10 upsells in just one product. It's too horrible to read them and to cheat people! They are teaching us to take advantage people. We can't do anything about it. If we do so, we lose job. Sometimes I pray to those people who accept the scam offer to help them and really feel so sorry for them. My conscience cannot tolerate these scam thing and for those their employees that suffers a lot in terms of descrepancy salary, unprofessional management and bias management. I working them for about a year now and planning to terminate my contract with them. There is no sense to stay with them. Not only that, we are mandated to process call taking credit card application. In the contract, we are teleservices agent and not a banker, but due to high volume calls of the other account, we must to take them, the fact that we don't have a proper training and lack of information. We taking calls to that well-known credit card company and no additional pay for that, It's a Bulls**t!
I cannot blame the caller who easily got irate because most of them asked questions that I never been encountered. If I have a chance to say them, maybe they will understand my situation. It is very risky to give information over the phone especially the SSN thing. If this company have a proper system for this sensitive info, it could be, but not using a 'Rhumba'. I must to confess this information to the American people to inform them that your fellow Americans cheating on you and we are the instruments!
Also, they are not unjust and unfair when they termed people. They giving shallow explanations. There's a karma with you guys! I hope this concern address to the American people and do something about it.

I'm an ex-employee at the Tulsa branch of the company. When I came through training, and the next training classes were moved up to the floor, you kinda had a feeling as to who would be promoted to Coach and who was part of the clique. As more people joined us on the floor, the drama intensified, and it was like a real-life soap opera played out on a daily basis. Who needed "Melrose Place," when you had West?
