If you value your belongings you will NOT use this very lacking company.

We moved from CA to WA and this company was a COMPLETE nightmare and offered no accountability!

Cliff notes: Missing/Stolen Art Work (5 ft paintings); broken dressers, items packed without packing material leaving broken jars, heirlooms and most furniture scratched, bent or broken!

Our issues: Dave and Eric (the salesmen) are very enthusiastic and assuring when providing an estimate to obtain your business.  We had quotes from other moving companies but Dave lowered their bid and said the things I wanted to hear (i.e. I don't have to worry about my items, they are very professional, own their own trucks, no problem getting my items from CA to WA by the time we got there, etc)....

On moving day Wade/Wayne(?) and another employee showed up and began packing (we paid for professional packing) - they said our house looked like a 10 hour job and they would be on the road around 8pm....by 10pm we asked them to call it a night (they were tired, broke one of our kitchen drawers and they had wrapped up all the chairs and beds leaving us nothing to sit on - mind you we have a 3 yr old and 5 month old!)  - they finally finished by 2 pm the following day - then increased our moving estimate by $1,400!!!!

I was told by Cheryl and Anthony that Dave was out of the office and the only one who could fix the pricing issue.  Cheryl has no say - she was a go between with no authority to make decisions - just to waste your time!  Anthony finally called me and told me the job was grossly underestimated; he could drop it by $400 so I could agree to this and let the guys get on the road....the he assured me Dave would look into the estimate and see if he could reduce the price further.  (Another LIE)

The next day Dave told me he was only a salesman and has no pull to adjust the price and that I would have to go over the order with Cheryl (useless) - she told me things like when I told Dave I had a front load washer and dryer on pedestals that when the movers put them on the truck they were bigger than Dave estimated for - all complete BS!

Our next issue came to be getting a firm delivery date.  When Dave told me 5 days would not be a problem it has now turned into hopefully 2 weeks!  Dave told me I had to talk to Anthony and Anthony (when not taking days off) - told us Michael was the GM and would handle our delivery...no one would go over the pricing issues again.

When we finally had our items delivered they were done so by Arrin (sp?) and guys he hired for day labor; they did not work for the company; so no background checks.  This is when we saw the state of our possessions - the packers shoved a DVD player into a full dresser drawer causing it to break, and the side of the dresser was cracked.    We unpacked boxes of glass because the 'professional packers' didn't use packing material - most boxes were crushed leaving most of our stuff damaged.  Due to extreme heat in their warehouse all candles were melted - and without packing material everything else in those boxes were ruined.  Arrin and the hired hands were all commenting on how unprofessional our items were handled - but Arrin had the insurance default speech memorized.

When they were done we instantly noticed our 2 large, framed paintings were not here!  They are both over 4 ft tall and Arrin told us they had to be at the warehouse so not to worry.  (Being shuffled around for 2 weeks, being told we had to talk to the one guy that was off that day over and over - all we did was worry.)

They didn't care about us at all - and it took Anthony 4 days to get back to us to let us know they didn't have our paintings....again with the insurance default speech.

Customer service is non-existant at West Coast Movers and we will be following up appropriately.

If you read this far then I hope you are convinced to look elsewhere for your move!
