West coast performance Vincent Malavolta Took money but did not receive parts. Hernando Florida

We brought our 40 chevy coupe to him for a new motor and to make the car safe for driving. We gave him a $4000.00 dollar check in June of 2017. He proceeded to tell us floor needed to be replaced, which took him about 10 months to almost finish. Meanwhile, he kept asking for money. 1000., than 1500, then he asked for 2000. because he needed to pay his taxes.

We begged him to work on our car. It would sit for months with no work done. He said he had our engine, we never saw it. We needed a new radiator, for better performance. We knew we needed a better one. He called said he ordered it, but it was cash on delivert. We gave him a check because it would be delivered in 2 to 5 days. We checked with him a week later, he said a mixup in the order that it was delivered to the wrong business.

That was in April of 2018. NO RADIATOR as of this date. After several months of stall tatics, we were able to get our car and some parts. We had to get tow truck and a trailer. No engine which he told the police he had but has not fi ished, no radiator which cost us $1298. We called police but he always has a good story. We bought this car to enjoy riding with our friends. In our 75 years we have never been through somthing like this. We would like to see no other senior taken like this person did to us. We have gotten very distrustful of people. What a shame.
