On 05/01/2017 i purchased a used 2007 season rat from west coast power sports. One of my main concerns was the ski breaking on me the first time i actually put it in the water since its at a dealer ship and you can't really test drive it. They told me not to worry about it that they would and i quote(take care of me if anything went wrong). So i took there word for it and purchased the ski with a new trailer and paid $6,591.62. i told mark my sales rep and Ben the center manager that i would be riding it for a few weeks because of my work schedule and they said again its fine we will take care of you if somethings wrong with it. So i took the ki home the next after noon after they cleaned it they said they did a full inspection it which gave me some peace of mind and said it passed with flying colors.
Well i finally got around to taking the jet ski out for the first time almost a month later when i was able to request a weekend off at work and after 2 hours of riding it it started to idle funny and wouldn't go over half of the max rims which was about 4k. so i took it to the dock and took it home. the next day i called power sports and they told me to bring it in that the'll take care of it. So i did after they had it for a few days they call me to tell me what happened, the seals went and the jet pump was ruined and a few other things that i honestly didn't understand. the service rep that was talking to me over the phone told me it would be about 620 dollars to fix it. i asked if i could talk to ben because it didn't make sense to me that i would have to pay for this when it wasn't a user error it was just a bad ski and if they had inspected it properly they would've caught that.
he tells me that nope regardless what he said if i wanted a warranty or something i should have brought a new ski and then offered to take 80 dollars of the repair cost at this point i was a little upset. i explained to him how can they do this when it wasn't my fault it broke. i only got to use it once for 2 hours it had 68 hours on the board and they said it didn't matter. then he asked what i wanted to be happy i told him well fix the ski like you said you would he aid that wasn't happening then i asked what if i do a supercharger rebuild and the service sense the ski was given to me with old oil and spark plugs they didn't even do a service on it and he said he would charge me full price for both of those services but because i was spending over 600 bucks on those two services he would bring the cost of the other repair down to be an even 1k. so i agreed it was either that or take my ski somewhere else and pay the full 620 for the repair. i don't think it was right i think they should have repaired that on there own expense and i still would have done the supercharge rebuild and service but saved a little over 300 dollars.

When you bought this jet ski did you buy it as is and did you sign any documentation that states that you know you're purchasing it as is ? sometimes when you buy used Powersports you might be signing a contract with an addendum that you're purchasing it as is If you purchased it brand new you would have gotten a brand new warranty from the manufacturer If you bought it as is why did you leave that part out of the story ? If you bought it as is I'm hoping that the dealership has a picture of the document that you signed showing that you knowingly purchased this jet ski as is If they have a copy of that document I hope they post it if they do not and you have some kind of a contract of a 30 day warranty post a picture of that contract where it states that you bought the jet ski with a 30 day warranty or some kind of warranty
