my partners and i have also been scammed out of our deposits. We already reported it to the BRE investigators  and the sherriffs department.  They are aware of the situation but im not sure why they have not done anything about it. They claim this has been happening for a while now. Mario Gonzalez and his associates put on fake open houses and keep multiple buyers deposits.  We believe some of the owners who had an open house are in on this.  Please report this to the FBI , this is happening a lot more often than we think.

Original Report:

My partners and I had two offers accepted on two  short sale properties, one through west coast realty and one with MCR realty.  At the time we made the offers we thought both companies were independent of each other. We gave deposits of $10,000 for  both properties after our offers were accepted and signed by the so called sellers.  We just found out both companies are run by Mario Gonzalez from MCR Realty. We have been waiting for months on the status of our offers but we only recieved emails stating they were working on the files, waiting on documents from the seller or they were waiting on the banks approval.  We decided to pay a visit a at least two of thier offices, 17777 center court drive, cerritos(west coast realty #600) and 1800 studebaker road, cerritos #700) and of course no one to be found and no one answeres the calls.  Accorrding to the reciopinist at both buildings they have not seen anyone come in or out of either office.  West coast realty is now called Golden west reatly( we believe mario created a new name at this location).These people are working with home owners as well to take buyers deposits, they have developed a plan to conduct fake open houses with homeowners to steal buyers deposits.  It is possible mario and his crew are keeping multiple deposits on a single property.  I paid a visit to both owners i had an offer on and both were very defensive and denied they were selling thier homes, denied signing purchase agreement (showed them a copy of the purchase agreement), and denied ever having an open house.  In fact we stated to them that we attended the open houses and we could describe what the interior of their homes looked like and they continued to deny everything.  We already reported this to the BRE investigators and the sheriffs depepartment in cerritos. We need to stop these thieves!!
