Beware of this place.  West County Honda Superstore is taking over an existing Honda store in West County.  They placed ads to hire a new staff.  During the training after being there a few days it was made clear that if you wanted to get the job you needed to be certified in their training which cost 299.00.  If you stayed at the dealership 90 days you would get that refunded but it shows the dealership that you are serious about working there.  They did hire several people they told me I would be a Service Advisor because I told them I did not want to be a Car Salesman.  After spending 7 days in training they told me that they did not have the position I was told in the beginning I would have but they have a position on the Sales Floor.  Then ask "Is that ok with you"  I told them NO and left immediately.  I don't understand why they left me hanging for 7 days knowing I was driving 45 minutes to and from this place waisting not only my time but my gas as well.  They figured after spending this much time they would be able to get me to be in Sales a commission only position because its free labor.  They are from Boston and have no concerns who they SCAM.  Whether it is an employee or a Customer.  So beware of doing business with them.

Why would I want to be a SalesMan for your company I just sat through 7 days of learning how to Get every Penny out of a Customer.  Jason the assistant General Manager was asked how he slept at night and he replied I'll tell you how...  I will go home tonight and eat a Big STEAK then laugh myself to sleep on how much money I made off them dumb-Asses.  Kris the Sales Manager would tell us how he will come in after the initial negotiating and he would them Slam them and rake them over the coals for every last dime he can get.  Dont be caught up in their scams.  I have video tapes of everything i have said happened.  I started taping the training once they started telling us how to RIP people off.

Obviously they won't look to rip off whoever they "know well"

AUTHOR: voiceofreason - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, June 27, 2011

In response to "Dave", obviously such a dealer won't look to rip off someone they "know well". They made a big mistake in teaching someone their dirty trade practices only to let him go away feeling screwed by them. Can't really trust any car dealer. It's a filthy industry and Federal law ought to hold the sponsoring manufacturers liable for the wrong doings of their dealers. Let a dealership hawk them selves as Honda Whatever, then Honda ought to answer for their actions. By the way, this isn't the first report here I've seen a car dealer try to backpedal on that "go home have a steak laugh my a*s off" line. Seems to be a standard industry wide "joke". Ha ha! It's very amusing, car dealers!

Know them well

AUTHOR: Dave - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, June 27, 2011

I have known the operator of this dealership for some time and have done business with him in the past, he is as honest and hard-working a man as I know. He is well known by Honda for his ability to run a dealership properly with regard for excellent customer satisfaction. Don;t let the Boston accent fool you, he is a great guy, and will be an asset to the St. Louis community. Go into the dealership and see for yourself, you will be pleased with all that you find there, you can buy with confidence from the folks at West County Honda. (And no I am not an employee of the dealership, not a member of the owners family, just a man who knows a good dealership when I visit it).

Pretty funny quote

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 30, 2011
Regarding the statements that were supposedly made by the sales managers
mentioned in the complaint (i.e. ripping off customers) are not to be
taken seriously. These managers do not actually have that attitude
towards customers. That is simply their sense of humor, we do apologize
if anyone was offended by it, but they did not mean for it to be taken
seriously.

This is actually a pretty funny quote from the dealer.  Mr. Dealer, do you actually expect anyone to believe that statement?  They meant every word of it and you know it.

Worth Every Penny

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 30, 2011

Just think! For ONLY $299 you will know for the rest of your life, how car salesmen are trying to screw you out of every last cent. It ought to be a required class in high school. Money well spent. No really, how many posts on this site are about suckers who got screwed by car salesmen? IF only they had taken that course for $299, just think about how they WOULDN'T have been screwed. Think about how much money they would have saved over a lifetime of getting screwed. As I said, the $299 would be a FRACTION of what they're overpaying. Hell. they'll save that $299 on their first purchase. Money well spent.

West County Honda- Not a rip-off at all

AUTHOR: West County Honda - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, April 29, 2011

The statements in the above report are false. During the training for the salespeople the certification that cost $299 was OPTIONAL, not at all required in any way. If the salesperson chose to get the certification they would be refunded if they stayed with the company for 90 days.

Regarding the issue of the Service Advisor position we are always looking for people that will best fit our needs and are best qualified for the position(s) we have openings for. West County Honda never had, does not have, and never will have any intention of scamming employees.

We simply look for the best qualified people for the positions. It was not as if we put this person through training and let them go completely, they were in fact offered an alternative position which we were not legally obligated to provide.

The fact that some of our employees are from Boston has nothing to do with how we do business and or choose employees. We- just like every other company search for the most qualified people for the job.

Regarding the statements that were supposedly made by the sales managers mentioned in the complaint (i.e. ripping off customers) are not to be taken seriously. These managers do not actually have that attitude towards customers. That is simply their sense of humor, we do apologize if anyone was offended by it, but they did not mean for it to be taken seriously.

Also- our web address is NOT WestCountyHondaSuperstore.com
Correct Address: westcountyhonda.com
