Friday, October 29, 2004: Early evening on my way to purchase a vehicle at a Jeep Dealership, I saw West Loop Mitsubishi and decided to stop, it was on my way. Upon my arrival there was a salesman already waiting (he must of seen me turning in). I thought this man seem friendly; but, I should have listen to my first instinct.

I barely got out of my vehicle, and he asked me are you here to see someone, I said not in particularly, I might be interested in purchasing a vehicle; I want the best price you can offer me. Felix Garcia said let's go inside where we talked. I told him what I wanted, and then he said I'd be right back.

He then introduced me to Skip the Sales Manager, said I got the car you want. We went outside, they both showed me a vehicle I already knew I did not want, but went to look at it. At that point, I told them this would not do. (Skip Sales Mgr), told me I got something you really want and I'm sure you're going to like this. He showed me the Mitsubishi Montero Sport.

Far away it looked great, (not knowing the hidden cosmetic defects underneath this find exterior. It was late afternoon early evening) Went to inspect it, and I notice the chipped paint, the dent in the back bumper, the holes inside the interior, the dent on the back side, the white spot on the interior back, etc. I approach him about this, and he said lets see what we can do.

Felix Garcia said if we could make this happen for you, can you take tonight, I said let's talk. We went back and forth and about three times with the sales manager I gave him $500.00 ck and told them this is all I could afford, then he took me to another room he went back again.

Came back told me he needed more cash. He asked me to takeout all the cash I had in my purse which was $100.00 I practically gave him every thing I had, I told him I couldn't loose any more that I needed to save what little I hadhe went backcame back and said it's not good enoughsaid if I could write an updated check for $600.00 and that they would give the resthe went back again, (by then everything was going way to fast, and I was very tired and delusional) he came back again after waiting 30 minutes and said.. Ok, they accepted it, now I need you to write a check for $700.00.

I looked at him and said, but you said $600.00 he looked at me and said no I told you $700.00). I went back to the SUV and took a look at it again and told him but all these things , he said he would try to work at it and that they would give me two more oil changes and an extra detail.

Lets see now, I gave him a check for $500 then he took $100 cash, then he took $700, (I kept telling myself what am I doing I was way too tired, I gave in, so they took a total of $1300 from me when I told the sales rep I could only give $500 boy, what a big mistake, and I felt scammed and they took advantage of me at the same time.

I waited another hour for the finance people so I could sign papers I did I asked the sales manager Skip if they do the oil changed, he said they do and a 13-point check or something under his breath. Then I had to wait awhile longer, because the car had to be detailed and filled with gas..

Finally, the sales rep came back your vehicle is ready went to inspected, I told him what about this hole in the left back and this dent, and the holes inside the interior in the left back seat, and the rust holes, and the chipping paint on bumper, ect. Skip said he would send me to another dealership to repair the cosmetic damages to the car. Felix just said hymmm and looked the other way I got in the car and there was no gas, I asked him why did you not filled the vehicle with gas said something about someone had already left, and that I should used my own money to buy gas, I looked at him with this looked, he then said, oh, please, don't tell me you don't have cash. I couldn't stand it so I left to get gas when I pulled out of the parking lot, the car started stuttering, I was way beyond empty.

I got to the nearest gas station and put in $6, I figure this was enough to get me home and back until tomorrow what a night To think I gave up a perfect vehicle, a vehicle which was a 2001 with only 42,000+ miles, a vehicle which did not even had one single scratch or dent, a vehicle which was perfect inside and out, not a single stain, not a tear, perfect interior, perfect glossy paint, a vehicle which had a 6-CD changer w/cassette. And they only gave me a good market trade in. When in fact if should have been perfect. Did I do a mistake?.. I traded a jewel and they gave me a junk.

Saturday, October 30: Arrived at Mitsubishi, around 9:30a.m. I told the sales manager, what had happen and showed him the vehicle again, the hole, the dent, the carpet in the back, the rust stains, the holes in the interior, the white stain, the expired vehicle permit. I told him I didn't think it was right that the sales rep sends me home without gas in the vehicle. I was told, that I had to go to another place to sign papers, I told the sales rep, I needed gas, he said you could put some inby that point, I was furious and I said I was not leaving until I get some gas the sales mgr. Came out and said I could leave my car here, and go with the rep from the credit union I'm so mad at this point

Went with the rep from c/u. I had to vent and told her, she listen so patiently, and asked me why I didn't take it up with the GM.. She called for me, I talked to him and he clarified some things, and I explained what had happen I told him, I felt I got ripped off and I should have listen to my first instinct and left. He said he gave me a great discount and a great deal, that my investment in this vehicle would be a great value all the way around, and that I would have a great trade-in value and such.

We went back, I met him, we talkedhe gives me three car wash vouchers (he gets for free), and the coupons expired on November 19, and there's a $3.00 surcharge, and you have to tip. He thought he compensating me, what a joke. Again, I mention to Skip the rust stains, the hole, the dent, etc. and asked if someone could fix this.he takes me to the back and gives me a paint bottle, he said I could do this myself, (why, should a customer paint her own vehicle, isn't somebody else responsibility) (is it me, or is it that I am a female, because I know a man would not be treated this way!!!)

Monday, November 1: I called the sales mgr. It rained heavily, the day before. I asked him should a vehicle which is over a year old, should the paint on the back bumper start chipping/pealing off so easily I went in later that afternoon to show him I told him now, for a vehicle which is just over a year paint to start pealing, he told me that's why he gave the paint. I had a Honda that was 8 years old, and not once did any paint chip off..anyway, I was trying to explained, that my intention is to trade this vehicle in within a year or two

Now, do you think I would get even a fair trade value, with holes, chipping paint, hole in the interior and a bumper that looks as if it has been slightly damaged. IF I WERE TO TRADE THIS VEHICLE RIGHT NOW, I WOULD ONLY GET POOR MARKET VALUE OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH MEANT ABOUT $10,000. LET'S SEE, I FINANCE THE VEHICLE FOR OVER $19,000 AND GAVE $1300 CASH. He really, couldn't answer..

Later I went to get my veh. Inspected because the veh. Inspection sticker expired. Again, I brought it to the attention of sales manager of the rust holes, the carpet stain, etc. I had also notice by looking at the inside, the veh. has not be cleaned or armoral. The salesman said, the car has been detailed so I asked the nice gentleman, if he could check if it had been. I waited, he came back, and said, no it hadn'tby this time I'm getting very upset I went back to the sales manager, and told him, I got lied to again I was told that the vehicle had been detailed it hadn't.. he said to bring it in tomorrow and they would take care of it now I beginning to wonder, if I made a big mistake

Tuesday, November 2: Took vehicle to get detailed. I asked the sales mgr again if someone could patch the rust stains and paint or sealed or whatever they need to do, and if someone could take the small dent out he said I'll take care of it and that he would call me tomorrow and try to set it up They did a good job detailing..

On my way home, I notice the vehicle did not have a cup holder it looks like I'm going have to buy one from Mitsubishi . I notice air coming in from the sunroof. I think I'm at my limitunbelievableTo think I gave up a great vehicle a 2001 Mazda Tribute with just over 24,000 miles. Excellent condition, perfect not even a dent or scratch.. paint was glossy, tires were new, 6 cd changer with cassette player, and they only gave me 10,000 for it, gosh, I wonder how much they would give me on this vehicle, considering there are dents and a hole and rust holes and the interior has holes and the white stain is still on the back coverI will never get any type of good money for it, because it really is in poor condition for a 2003.

Wednesday, November 4: Just as I figured, no calls from Skip.I'm beginning to wonder if they even did an oil changed. I'm beginning to feel like I've been scammed and taken.

Thursday, November 5: No call from Skip

Friday, November 6: No call from Skip

Saturday, November 7: No call from Skip. Got a full tank of gas to see the mileage..

Sunday, November 8: No call from Skip

Monday, November 9: I notice from the beginning that the tires seem worn and such, today I took it to a tire specialist and asked him how long does my tires have, he said I need to replace the tires within four months. Ok, great another $400-500 I have to spend on the vehicle. Still no call from Skip.

Monday, November 15: Still no call from Skip, that's it I'm taking it to the big boy.. Ck on the gas mileage aprx 13 miles per gal. And this is for a 2003 vehiclepooooor gas mileage

Tuesday November 17: Still no call from Skip

It rained heavily last night, got into vehicle (see pics) this morning and Rt. Front seat soaking wet. Behind seat on mat and floor soaking wet, etc. took to Mitsubishi to confirm they agree. Met with the general manager Gabe Vega, I told him I did not want this vehicle anymore, said he would call back this afternoon and let me know of their decision. He made a decision to fix the vehicle, with all my demands, and I accepted it.

In short:

Salesman lied
Sales Manager lied
GM lied

Vehicle with cosmetic damages
Vehicle with holes and rust holes and dent
Cigarette hole in back headliner
Missing a cup holder
Vehicle with no gas
Vehicle with expired sticker
Vehicle with very low gas mileage about 13miles to gallon, suppose to be at least 17city 21hwy
Sunroof leaks and lets air in, rained November 16 rt. Front seat soaking wet and underneath thru mats
In general this vehicle is in poor condition not worth the value I paid for or that I would get a good trade-in value for a 2003, tires need replacement in four months, running boards on car faded,

November 19, 2004 Received a call from Rio, was advise to pick my vehicle because of some issues and such. Then he said he would call me back. I called back 30min later and he referred me to Amy who said to go ahead a keep the rental vehicle, that they ordered parts for the vehicle, and it'll be a couple of days, before it's taken care of. I told her this would not do, that I would be coming in around 5:30-6P. (now notice, I type this before I gave the gentleman the packet to give to Mr. Soto before I left.)

Arrived at 5:10pm talked to Amy, she went to tell Gabe that I was here to see him. I waited over an hour. Amy was getting ready to leave and told me to wait, she'll see what she can do, she said Gabe would see me soon, he had customers to see him. (I told her he could of least sent someone to tell me something that should have been a hint of what was yet to come.

He asked my why was I here I told him enough was enough that this was driving me crazy, I told him how frustrated I was with everyone here (except the people in repairs and parts) how from the very first day, how I was being lied to, from the salesman to the sales manager how I was promised this and that and not seeing any results, I told him that a good sales person would do everything in their power to treat the customer right.

I told him that if I were a man, I would not be treated this way, because the power of a man's word is the WORD, but, because I'm a female it gives them the ok to lied to me and get away with it. To tell me they will give me this and that, and not do it, to tell me that they will take care of it and not. (Do they really think I'm that stupid) I told Gabe, that all that I wanted was to walk away feeling good that I did the right thing, instead of feeling like a fool for doing the wrong thing, and I've been living with this since October 30th.

All, I wanted was a vehicle that I could depend on and feel good about it , and if they (the salesman and the sales manager) say they would do something, then they should honor it. I felt that they thought in their minds, I'll get over it.

Gabe said he was taking care of every thing he said he would. I told him that if I were his mother, or his wife, sister, or daughter, he would tell me to bring back the car and get my money back. He just looked at me, I know he knows I was right.

So I asked him, why do I have to give you back the rental car, my vehicle isn't fix and you know it's going to rain this weekend he said that his company couldn't afford to pay for the rental until the parts come in next week. I told him the company with makes millions, couldn't afford to pay a few days rental, What kind of deal is this if it was me, I'd be trying to keep my customer happy, if it meant to pay for it out of my pocket, I would. I didn't asked for this, you or your people didn't tell me that this vehicle was defected.. so, why are you making it more miserable for me.

A good salesman would do anything to make the customer happy so why should I pick up my vehicle and then come back to drop off the vehicle again when the parts come back and then drop the car off again and pick up another rental again. That does not make any good customer service sense (skills), what happen to your core values, you're company motto. I told him, so, you're going to send me home, with a vehicle that has not been fixed, especially the sunroof, and, it's suppose to rain again what kind of deal is this

Then I told him that Amy had said that I could keep the vehicle until next week, he said unless Amy is going to pay for it but he didn't tell her to tell me that he was her boss. I told him, he was causing inconvience, time and money, that this isn't right, then I told him, so now, you're saying that Amy is lying to me.. he said he never told her to tell me to keep the rental vehicle. (SO NOW YOU CAN SEE FROM ABOVE THE TIME I TALKED TO AMY AND THE TIME I TALKED TO GABE, SO WHO IS REALLY LYING.) I waited for them to bring my car. I started crying still in disbelief that this dealership can be so cruel. I waited for someone to come by to give them the packet to give to Sam Soto.

7:10PM I got my things, out of the rental, and took my car home, so here I am, I will be creating a web site, and send out letters to every organizations, every homeowner, every credit unions, whatever it takes to get the word out about how you lied to customers, how you don't care about them, except to lie to you and sell you a vehicle you won't be happy with , like he told me, it's now between you and the bank you finance, it's your problem, you own the vehicle

Am I happy about this, NO, will you see me again as a customer NO, will you loose me a customer YES. I took the word and good faith from this sales manager that everything would be taken care of, and to date he has not made his promised so. As the old sayings, hell hath no fury as a woman's scorn and You mess with the wrong person

So, unless you take care of this problem one of three things: 1) You take back the vehicle and give me my $1300 back, or 2) you give me a new vehicle with the same amenities at the same price I finance for. I will not stand in front of your dealership with a sign don't buy here, they sell only lemons like some other people do.

Here's what I'm going to do Since I just started my business, I will be joining every woman's association in San Antonio Texas and the surrounding areas and addressing all the women at these meetings about the cautions of buying a vehicle and especially not to buy from West Loop Mitsubishi. I will be mentioning West Loop Mitsubishi a thousand time till it sinks into their minds NOT TO GO TO THAT PLACE WEST Loop Mitsubishi and buy a new or used vehicle BECAUSE they are liars and THEY WILL try to tell you the great deal you're getting all along they are scamming you. Buyers beware. I will be filing a complaint with BBB, National Consumers League, the Attorney General's Office, and whomever I need to get my point across.

Dear Sammy Soto:

I know this is lengthy, but please read on

A good salesman would do anything to make the customer happy so why should I pick up
My vehicle and then come back to drop off the vehicle again when the parts come back and
Then drop the car off again and pick up another rental again. That does not make any good customer service sense (skills), what happen to your core values, you're company motto. I told him, so, you're going to send me home, with a vehicle that has not been fixed, especially the sunroof, and, it's suppose to rain again what kind of deal is this Then I told him that Amy had said that I could keep the vehicle until next week, he said unless Amy is going to pay for it but he didn't tell her to tell me that he was her boss.

As the old sayings, hell hath no fury as a woman's scorn and You mess with the wrong person So, unless you take care of this problem one of three things: 1) You take back the vehicle and give me my $1300 back, or 2) you give me a new vehicle with the same amenities at the same price I finance for. I will be mentioning West Loop Mitsubishi a thousand time till it sinks into their minds NOT TO GO TO THAT PLACE WEST Loop Mitsubishi and buy a new or used vehicle BECAUSE
they are liars and THEY WILL try to tell you the great deal you're getting all along they are scamming you. Buyers beware. I will be filing a complaint with BBB, National Consumers League, the Attorney General's Office, and whomever I need to get my point across.

This is how they sold me the vehicle.
when it rained and ruin the interior
