 My boyfriend and I rented here 11 months ago. We pay weekly bc the owner wouldn't accept a monthly payment. She rents as an apartment, but hides behind the technicality of it being a motel when it convenient..ex. She will enter the apt. with a spray bottle in her hand (but nothing to wipe up with) to go thru your belongings and read your mail. When she is caught she makes up an excuse like your lights/fan were left on. She has rented to us for almost one year, but now that we got into a disagreement with her 'all of a sudden' the '90 day town bylaw' that states she can't tent for longer than 90 days has mysteriously come into effect. I don't doubt that the town is coming down on her bc I've seen the vehicles..however she is trying to throw tenants out without notice or properly evicting thru the courts. I have witness her enter peoples room when they are not home..myself included..(I have personally woken up to a key in the door and her inside my room.. lock people out..move their belongings to another room while they are gone..bully people with children..and in general just bad business practice. In the past she has offered to 'cook her own books' in order to keep me here longer..lie about our status here and put us down as employees..and this is just what I have the patience to type. Her husband is a select an and she tries to threaten people with that.
