Western General Extended Warranty Buyer Beware! Western General extended warranty is a SCAM Calabasas, California

My wife and I purchased a used diesel truck with low mileage from a local dealership. The finance officer suggested we purchase a 2 year extenced warranty, just in case; he sold us the extended warranty for 2100.00 from Western General.

Recently we went on a trip to Redding, CA, looking for a place to retire. The little wrench light went on and we took the truck to a Ford dealership in Fulsome, CA, where they informed us that the radiator went out and needed to be replaced. The cost was 1600.00 and not covered by Western General.

Half way back to San Diego, the little wrench light came on again. When we returned home, we took our truck to a Ford dealership in National City, where they informed me that the oil cooler went out and needed to be replaced, the cost, 3500.00, Western General would not cover this cost either.

Save your money and do not purchase an extended warranty, especially from Western General. Western General works closely with dealerships to sell the warranties; however, they have no intention of standing behind their claims. Please do your homework; perhaps there are good honest companies out there, but Western General is NOT one of them.
