Our daughter is hoping to play in college. She is a strong player and excels in her position as an outside hitter. This team seemed like a good fit for us mostly due to the clubs practice locations and relatively inexpensive cost structure. 

There was a lot of drama in the beginning of the 2014 club season, and it became apparent that the head coach of the 16s, Bob Daniels, was open to being influenced by some of the parents on the team. Playing time and postions were not earned in practice or even tournaments, but more so by how much a player and a parent played to the ego of Bob Daniels. Very disturbing. The club administration was loosely run and offered no support to parents when they needed help or asked for coaching issues to be addressed. A ship without an anchor that soon got lost at sea. 

Our daughter was selected to play the position she tried out for and hopes to play in college. outside hitter. Not only did she almost never get to play that position, she did not get any exposure to college coaches while playing her position. With the exception of the setter, one middle and a libero, the ENTIRE team played different positions in each tournament. You might be a right side in one set, a middle in the next and an outside or defensive specialist in a third. There were some girls who hardly played. There were some girls who never played and ended up leaving the team before the end of the season. 

The result? A divided team that had a lot of talent but never really got off the ground. A group of girls who was always competing with each other rather then as a team. This was tough as the team traveled a lot and this cost the parents a lot of money and the childrenand parents a lot of time. The team disolved before the end of the season and did not attend the AAU tournament in Orlando. I think everyone had just had enough of the politics, coaching staff and constant losing.
