Failure by Westersgarage cost me $28,153.01

The Facts (Not disputed by Westers Garage as of this report)

1. In June 2012 we brought our 2006 Winnebago Tour RV to Westers Garage, Centre Street, Tilley, Alberta, Canada. westersgarage.eidnet.ca/

2. Lyndon Wester, the owner of Westers Garage, helped us. He suggest, ordered and installed a DiabloSport extreme power puck. He was paid.

3. He incorrectly installed the DiabloSport extreme power puck to the ATM Sensor. The instruction from DiabloSport clearly state is must be hooked up to the MAP sensor.

4. 6,000 miles later Midway Freightliner, Inc. determined the engine failed and would need to be fully replaced.

5. The cause of engine failure was the DiabloSport extreme power puck was installed incorrectly.

6. We e-mailed Lyndon the facts and he does not deny hooking the DiabloSport up incorrectly. 

7. We have e-mailed and called Lyndon several times and asked if he stands behind his work. He will not answer this question!

8. The Diablosport extreme powerpuck dial operates 0-5 volts in a linear matter.

9. The MAP & ATM Sensors have identical plus on this RV's C7 Cat 350 HP 2006 engine.
The Diablosport MAP plug will fit into either. If the Diablosport MAP plug is not hooked up, it will throw a fault code.

If the Diablosport MAP plug is hooked up to the MAP or ATM sensor it will not throw a fault code.

10. If the Diablosport is not plugged into ICP (Fuel rail pressure sensor), it will not start.

11. Lyndon hooked up the Diablosport ICP plug correctly to the ICP. This is why the RV started at his garage.


It looks like he made an honest mistake but will not stand behind his work.
