Do not attend Westwood College, Redstone College or Westwood Online. It is a waste of your time and money. Attend a real, community college or university. You will be paying the same amount of money, and it's worth the extra 2 months it will take. This is not a college, but a bunch of con artists ripping you off. It's sad they go for the people that do not know how to research a good college. All they want you to do is fill out financial aid paperwork and see if you can apply for loans. If you can't, they have their own, high interest, in school payment options that will leave you devastated by time graduation comes around. Students do not realize what they will be paying for and the quality of the education that is ahead for them. Do your research on the web, this site alone has tons of complaints. Check with a lawyer to see what you can do. If you are a current student or graduate, get a lawyer and do it now! Do not trust your director, they will lie to you only to get their bonuses and to cover up your complaints or issues against the company. It's only all about the money, and not about the success at Westwood College. I'm a current student that knows a lot of people working for the campus and still talk to former employees in various departments. Believe me, when I say, get out while you can and save your money!

I attend Redstone. I personaly think it should be remove from this report. Yes I pay a lot to attend but in my opinion its a great school. FAA regulated......... Its your fault for not researching schools. Why would you sign something with out fully understanding the terms.... I'm sure this school choice is one of your many mistakes in life.

Entirely Accurate in my Opinion

There are two sides to this. The Aviation school for Westwood do have to abide by FAA guidelines. What Denver is referring to are the degree programs that are not Federally monitored. The degree programs for Computer Gaming, Information Systems, etc., are all frauds. All students who attend expect that the credits will transfer to other institutions of higher learning so they can someday get that Masters or Ph.d. In my case, they lied all the way through. I did graduate with good grades, worked hard and earned my degree. Did not even cheat myself on the on-line tests, did all of the assigned labs, etc. So what did all this get me? Nothing. A worthless degree not recognized by anyone, anywhere, units and credits that will not transfer to any real college, no assistance with job placement (was told directly that they could not help me, three different times) and now $80,000 dollars in debt because of this college. Denver is right on. You were lucky and I'm glad you were able to get your dream job. But there are thousands of students who have been ripped off by these lying A$$ Holes and I hope they get what's coming to them. If anyone is seriously thinking about enrolling even with their "guarantee", please feel free to email me at lboan(at)hotmail dot com and I will tell you my story and the nightmare I am now living....Thanks for nothing Westwood....

I'm a former attendee of Redstone College (then Westwood College of Aviation Technology) in Broomfield, CO.  I agree that the college is overpriced, but that doesn't mean the education is lacking.  I graduated in the top 3% of my class and I managed to get a high paying job at a very reputable company.  At the time, Westwood Aviation was one of the leading aviation maintenance schools in the nation and, as such, had high-end recruiters coming to the school all the time.

The school isn't perfect, but no school really is.  The credits are non-transferable, the education is costly, but the curriculum is FAA mandated and monitored and the atmosphere was enjoyable.  If you're having a hard time or are disliking it, it usually means you're not doing well and have poor grades.  Every school has pupils like that.  Try applying your knowledge and skills and you'll come out with a well-rounded education that can help you in the future.

DLD and DLF campuses are in trouble!

AUTHOR: Westwood Dld - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 27, 2007

I agree, the school is a joke. I investigated the DOE at DLD and found that this person was asked to leave their last company because of "unethical behaviors involving a female student". Meaning this person slept with a minor, not to mention a customer/student of the company. I also know the current executive director of DLD has a problem soliciting prostitutes from the internet. We have videos of the executive director visiting some of DFW's prostitute houses.
