Wheaton Van Lines Wheaton Van Lines Damages Items during move and claims act of God when flood destroys my possesions Indianapolis Indiana

I moved from Madison, IN to Johnstown, PA and was asked to use Wheaton Van Lines by my company. Wheaton Van Lines really is a rip off. I had over $3500 of damaged items during their moving my items to my temporary apartment and they offered me $585 for the damages when they sent their own man to review the situation. I paid $500 for insurance and found out it was "self-insurance" by them and if you have claims the will investigate and determine what you will get. In the end they paid nothing and I was screwed.

To top this off I had other items from my over 2,000 square foot home to a 1,000 square foot apartment that would not fit so they put the extra items into storage in Washington, PA and claimed it was a Military approved secure storage facility. When Hurricane Ivan came through the Pittsburgh area I received a phone call about further damage to my stuff in storage. Guess what the first thing they said was we are not resonsible for the damage because this was an act of God. So now I have another pile of damged items totally over $35,000 plus the original items damaged.

They told me I could try to salvage some things but they took the liberty of disposing of some things before I could get there at their own discretion. I did try to salvage my DVD changer and stereo sytem but in the process of returning to get these items they magically came up missing. Great a $600 receiver and $400 DVD changer with 350+DVD's now are missing and they still are not responsible. The police sided with them and said it was out of their hands.

Anyways I am just letting everyone know the courtesy that I was provided by Wheaton Van Lines that really subcontrated this whole mess out to AllWays Moving in Washington, PA. They suck and I will never use them again.
