I have had my fridge for a while (about 3 years) I have been using the whirlpool pur water filter W10295370 or W10295370A as per instruction when purchased (it is also the filter that came with the fridge.
I have gone through 4 filters in the last 3 months. Little to no water pressure, no ice........so I called a service rep out. He put a different brand filter in the fridge and it worked fine. I called the number on the side of the filter, because, getting 4 disfunctional filters?????? Not possible, however, the service rep opened the fourth brand new filter I had........and installed it, and it did not work.
I was told that those filters are out dated and don't work. UM....I've had this fridge for a while, they always worked just fine. Now I'm out $130 for filters and $150 for a service call because the company changed the filters and they no longer work in a 2012 fridge. This is unacceptable!!! I am on a fixed limited income. OH get this, the NEW filters are about $20 bucks more.
NOT A HAPPY CAMPER....
