I contacted Wilhelmina Dan Agency and spoke with Josh. I took my daughter's modeling and acting portfolio to them to review and possibly sign us for representation.
I was told about all the "classes" that are needed for models and the NEW pictures she would need to have - that she has tons of potential, but just one thing was needed. Their particular modeling classes!
Everyone who has been in this industry as a parent or model knows that you do NOT pay a reputable "agency" for classes or portfolio comp cards they are SELLING YOU! This is nothing but a ripoff and talent MILL, not a true model agency.
I was told by the New York agency, Wilhelmina, that they sell their NAME to "LICENSEES" and are not managed in any way by their NY office!!
This to me is crooked and a true rip off. Don't waste your time with these crooks! They have numberous complaints filed throughout the southeast and united states under different names.
Waste of my time!

I have been working with Josh at the Nashville location for years. I have been working with the owner, before Josh started.
Sometimes classes and guidance are needed for new faces who have never had representation before.
Maybe you pictures, but they aren't good enough. Just because you have a portfolio doesn't mean you're good enough to be signed instantly.
Some talent need to be tought certain skills in order to work in this industry.
