On June 15, 2010, I requested repair services from William Henderson Plumbing for my Carrier Heat Pump. The unit was not functioning, no air conditioning. The unit seemed to operate well after the repair. There was no discussion about other items, e.g., a compressor, fan, et al., being required. I made a call on August 17 to report the unit was again not operating. The technician arrived and started the unit in a few minutes, declaring it was just necessary to restart it. Nothing else was wrong with its function. It ran for about two (2) hours, then stopped. He returned about four (4) hours later. He found nothing different and called Carrier for advice to confirm. He was here for about two (2) hours. The unit was not operational; he claimed there was nothing he could do. He then attempted to charge me for the service visit, $150; I refused and have your supervisor call me. He, the supervisor, never called. The unit is not operating. Since the supervisor of Henderson never called or attempted to resolve the problem, i.e., to repair the unit or discuss the charges, shows that Henderson is not interested in following through on their work. I have investigated their ratings with local consumer advocates and they have a less than satisfactory record. They are a member of SuperPages (Superguarantee); the program is meaningless. The point is that Henderson has not fixed the unit, received payment and will not resolve the issue. The bill was $685. I have since hired a contractor to evaluate the problem. His assertion was something was done to disable the compressor. Fee was an additional $75. The unit is not operating, no heating nor cooling. This organization refuses to guarantee their work or correct their problems. They should be ostracized and stopped from operating as a HVAC Contractor.

I made these statements under the penname or pseudonym William Eveland.  These statements I made about Wm. Henderson Plumbing & Heating, Inc., however were made by me in a moment of frustration and were inaccurate.  To my knowledge, Wm. Henderson Plumbing & Heating, Inc. does not enlist ineptitude, deception or failure to serve customers, does not have a less than satisfactory record with consumer advocates, is not duplicitous, does not over charge, has not failed to respond to more than 27 different customers, does not operate without abandon, does not have a fradulent Home Improvement Registration with the State of Pennsylvania, does not advertise with an invalid contractor's license, does not gouge customers, does not advertise with invalid coupons, does not charge 5 times the market price and is not unprofessional, incompetent or employs inept technicians. Additionally, Wm. Henderson Plumbing & Heating did offer me a warranty on their work.

Continuing ineptitude and poor service

Davis Modern Heating and Cooling of Norristown, PA has lost in court to me and refuses to pay the judgement of $2000.  After a search, we have found that Davis never pays judgements filed against them.  This is a warning to all potential customers that they are not competent, never follow through on promises and do not pay judgements won in court.  They service heat pumps, boilers, furnaces, oil fired furnaces, etc.  Their attorney also uses tricks and schemes to avoid paying granted judgements.  My advice is that if you need any Heating or Cooling service, choose anyone but Davis.

Heap Pump Non-Repair

Henderson according to various reports has improperly serviced, overcharged and not responded to more than 27 different customers in the Philadelphia suburban area within the last year. They continue to operate without abandon. Latest was a customer in Havertown, PA cited on this report.

They still refused to answer phone calls and resolve repair problems as of 12/27/2010.Their contractor's license should be revoked and prosecuted under PA law.

It should be noted that Henderson P&H is a member of the Verizon Superyellowpages and is supposed to follow their servicing principles.  They do not and Superguarantee is a sham.  Henderson does not offer a guarantee or warranty for their work.  Any customer is on his/her own.

Henderson Plumbing & Heating, Broomall, PA, is duplicitous and does not service their customers.  When the records from the Better Business Bureau and other complaint forums are read, any objective reader will see that Henderson neither follows up nor resolves customer issues.  When the Charges are disputed to MasterCard, there is no attempt to call or resolve problem.  An exemployee has also criticized their competence and  customer service.  This issue is not resolved until a full refund is made.

As you see, we repaired the unit and it operated for 2 months and another part failed.  We cannot warranty every part on an old unit, however we do warranty the part we put in.  If you look at our reviews online, you will see we have  excellent reviews.  We have been in business for over 33 years and strive to provide 100 percent satisfaction.  We did not recieve a call from this customer, or it would have beed resolved.  We are a family run company with an excellent reputation.  We care very much about each and every customer.
